It's so sad these H-types are are now gone, replaced by those soulless Bombardier monstrosities. I recall these vividly on my last visit to Glenelg some 15 years ago.

Hi Arnaud, thank you for your kind comment about my video. Now, there are still W class trams on the City Circle line (route 35), but route 30 and routes 78/79 no longer have the W class trams operating on them.

I love them and enjoyed riding them when i was in Melb! The only disappointment would be those trams sporting pantos instead of trolley poles as originally they should be!

ugly pantographs spoil the view... those W class are better looking with its original trolley pole on its roof!

On the Melbourne tram network trans can't run with trolley Pole the current is at 1500 volts that's why they need pantograph because the system doesn't support trolley poles anymore that's why they can't run the Heritage trams from Hawthorn tram Museum

so the overhead wires are still compatible with trolleypoles. hope the w-class trams will sport trolley poles too. hate pantographs on w-class!!
