My dad bought the record for my mom. She wasn't thrilled. She wasn't fat, but bigger. We heard the record my whole life. I've sung it to my kids and grandkids. Wouldn't go over in today's crazy world.

I gotta gal who's mighty sweet With blue eyes and tiny feet Her name is Rosabelle Magee And she tips the scale at three o three Oh gee, but ain't it grand to have a girl so big and fat that when you go to hug her You don't know where you're at You have to take a piece of chalk in your hand And hug a way and chalk a mark to see where you began One day, I was a huggin' and a chalkin' And a chalkin' and a huggin' a way When I met another fella with some chalk in his hand A comin' around the other way over the mountain A comin' around the other way Nobody ever said I'm weak My bones don't ache, my joints don't creak But I, I grow pale and I get limp Every time I kiss my baby blimp Oh gee, but ain't it grand to have a girl so big and fat that when you hug her (You don't know where you're at) (You have to take a piece of chalk in your hand) (And hug a way and chalk a mark to see where you began) One day I was a huggin' and a chalkin' and a beggin' her to be my bride When I met another fella with some chalk in his hand A comin' around the other side of the mountain A comin' around the other side She's a mile wide (Chalkin' a mark down in Yellowstone park) When I met another fella with some chalk in his hand A comin' around the other side (over the mountain) Over the great divide

Damn!!!!! This was so awesome to see on my feed. I haven’t heard this in almost 20yrs I think. It’s been a long time. How did you get this and do you have his other mix tapes??? I used to have them all and he was my favorite local Atlanta DJ to see at the club. I enjoyed his sets more than the headliners!!!

Scenes like this surely must be part of the inspiration for Remedy Games having televisions in their games showing you optional stuff. (Max Payne, Alan Wake)

So many games took inspiration from Twin Peaks. Just to name one - Silent Hill definitely took it's inspiration from this, with the whole quiet town and condemned girl thing. I know for a fact Twin Peaks was super popular in Japan, where Silent Hill was developed, so that could have been very possible.

@@kamilyakadyr7063 You're right. A myriad of games, and other media, either took inspiration from Twin Peaks or had direct references to TP. Sam Lake (Writer of Max Payne) was a huge Lynch fan made Address Unknown (One of the TV shows in the game) which has the red curtains from the Black Lodge. There's also something the "Flamingo" says along the lines of "Mirrors are more fun than television", being a reference to the doppelgangers in TP and possibly the backwards talking. Kind of a stretch I know lol but yeah there are a ton of TP/Lynch references in videogames. Those are just a few.

Most recently Hotline Miami. Twin Peaks inspired so many forms of media it's almost unbelievable.

@@metroidxme6470 Interesting! I also believe shows like Stranger Things would not exist today if it wasn't for Twin Peaks. It is so obvious that the Duffer brothers borrowed a lot of its narrative and that mystic sci-fi effect from there. Frost and Lynch are geniuses who changed the narrative of media perhaps forever. That show really was a blueprint for so much media and way ahead of it's time.

. The first episodes were the absolute best. But when they started with werewolves and etc coming onto the scene, I totally dropped it. And they never finished the quest of Barnabas finding someone to share his new life with. Like they just totally switched the story line. Being that about 2-3 seasons were all about Barnabas living an obscure and tortured existence ....and all of his and Julias plotting and efforts ... he wound up with that ugly strange woman as a partner. Very weird ending the writers gave Barnabas. Didn’t like it
