I've never tried a proper east end pie & mash, but I rarely ever go to the smoke 😆 You can keep your jellied eels but those pies look lovely 👍

Lovely person, I’m from this Grim north and most people but Not all don’t want to chat ……I find it so easy to chat with Londoners and people from the south in general. I guess the different accents for me are always a talking point. This lovely lady would have to call the cops to drag me off because I could chat night and day with her ……Love the way she talks, so Cool.

I am not impressed by the new ferries. You just walk straight on and straight off. No crossing from port to starboard. i have often given the ferry skippers something to look at in my inflatable canoe. I even got shouted at once.

These restaurants are doomed. Only white Brits eat that food in London, and as the percentage of whites declines (from 82% to 38% in 50 years), these restaurants will die. That’s not racism; that’s just a fact.

Averil is most certainly not a Londoner, she was born in Layton in Blackpool Lancashire, and we attended the Blackpool Collegiate School for Girls in the 1950s. I have very strong recollections of a very gifted pianist with a lovely unassuming disposition and a twinkle she has retained to this day. A lovely, lovely lady in every sense.
