I think there is a degree of context as to why he didn’t look great at times. His team only won 2 games all season they were complete trash. He was basically expected to carry the team at 18 years old against professionals. He only played 14 games on top of that. He was the top recruit in his high school class could have gone to any school he wanted realistically and would have had a way better situation. But that type of athleticism while being 6’8 at such a young age is special.

What’s interesting with UVA guys in the NBA is the guys who were the best scorers didn’t pan out but the more defensive guys have had better NBA careers aside from Joe Harris. I think if he works on his shot, he can be a better defensive but less offensive Deandre Hunter in a guards body

Another small tweener guard. Just great. Moody is a really nice dude, but obviously they should have picked the Virginia guy in that slot. No idea what they were thinking since Murphy was lights out in his last year at Virginia.

Devin Carter is going to come off the bench throughout his career? He's not athletic? He's not long? He's too small? Brother, he looks like Derrick White. Slots in perfectly at multiple positions next to any stars.

Warriors starting lineup: Curry, Kuminga, Post, Wiggins, Melton. Yes, Draymond needs to come off the bench. Trayce and Post can play together at times, but I want to see Post start so we can see what he can do before deciding if Trayce should be the starter. Moody and Podz will get lots of playing time off the bench. Slow mo can clap on the bench.

Okay, he can shoot the 3. I hope they give him playing time to see what he can do over a stretch of games.

I’m gonna have to disagree with what he said at the 4:00 mark. If there’s a spot in the midrange he’s comfortable shooting at with confidence then he should attempt that shot as often as he wants no matter if the stats says layups/dunks & 3’s have a higher make percentage.

@jackwang95363 күн бұрын
Beekman doesn't play the same position as Klay. Reece is a pure PG, and Klay is a 2/3. Moody and Podziemski play Klay's position. Beekman's 3-point shooting is not great, but he looks athletic and has some decent skills. Thing is, the NBA & G-League is full of guards like Beekman, so he will need to compete hard for a roster slot in Summer League.

@FledgedPhoenixКүн бұрын
@@chrisper3148 back up PG is a hole on this roster. We replaced Klay and CP3 with Hield and Melton. Melton and Hield are bench depth pieces but not a PG. Podz could play some PG but he's starting at SG. Getting another Center would be nice but if we're trading for Markkanen we're probably losing some of our young guards and Kuminga.
@zachary2616 күн бұрын
Post has the skillset that the Warriors need in their system. He reminds me of Andrew Bogut, a big who can shoot the three, has a decent inside game and a terrific interior defender. It's puzzling how he ended up in the second round. DJ Burns is another player who has outstanding basketball street smarts but went undrafted. I hope these two players get a chance to show what they can do in the NBA.
