German Shepherds should only be for experienced owners, too! Unless you’re getting a show line GS you need to be very experienced, and you need to be on your A game if you get what I have, which is a working line GS.

Have a girl GS that is too gentle to protect anything. But very attached and calm. Was shocket that i NEVER have to train her to go outside. Shes just clean like a cat. 65lb mature, short hair, sheding just in spring, almost no smell.

Come on brother everyone knows Rottweilers can get heavier than 100 pounds , Rocky is only 14 months old and he's already 100 pounds. But I'll let you slide on this one but don't let it happen again.

Sadly despite being genetically no different to other colour variations, the white variety is the only one the official Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde does not recognise it. It’s only acknowledged as the Swiss shepherd. The liver & blue coloured ones are considered as faulty.

Just the opposite in my experience. My Male is more stubborn and harder to train than my Female was. He is more independent but at the same time cuddlier than my Female. My Female would walk and stay with me completely off leash while my Male always has a bit of mischief in his eye and will sometimes wander and choose NOT to immediately come to me when called. My Male has absolutely no aggression towards humans but will defend himself if attacked by another dog. My Female was my constant companion great with other dogs, children, and loved to chase cats. I love / loved both these dogs and can't even imagine another breed.

My brother found 3 ACD's abandoned near his property. He took them in but the 2 male one's died overnight. The female runt had an injury from a fox bite. He kept her warm and fed her farex. He didn't want too get attached so he called her 'dog'. Dog went on to have a full life growing up with a family on a farm. She never let a day go by without letting everyone know how grateful she was . Also at cricket : everyone got caught out by 'Dog' 😅😅

I have had both and I much prefer the female GSD. Our last one lived to 14. She was beautiful, obedient and a great guard dog. Our latest is 4 years old and is just as great as all the other ones. They are a reflection of the owner so take your job as owner seriously and you'll never regret owning a female GSD!

1. They love you TOO MUCH 2. They are TOO CUTE. 3. They don't shed enough, but don't not shed enough. 4. They want to be your best friend, and you may not want friends. 5. They have to eat. 6. They have to go outside. 7. They make it difficult to comprise lists why not to like them.

Absolutely my favorite breed. I have had them for 30 years and I can not get enough. Def not for first time dog owners, they are super independent and are def velcro dogs. Devoted to a flaw!
