Id say I'm very knowledgeable but not an expert regarding German shepherds. If you want an expert then find Hans alpine who has a Chanel on here and is a true expert. What I know from this video is they don't know what there talking about and it's just another channel from someone just creating content

I had a West German GSD, and he was easy to train. He was #1 in his obedience class of 35 dogs. He passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test with flying colors. He had a great play drive and loved to swim. He weighed about 85 to 90 lbs and was a good-looking GSD. The only negative was that he was not a very good watchdog and was not protective of his backyard.

That’s more or less pretty accurate I think what he really means by more relaxed. I think he’s talking about the show lines but from what I understand, the West German’s are the closest thing to what the breeder intended what I would say the east, German is more what he had intended the dog to be

American show line and European show line both more susceptible to hip dysplasia. West working line is the best choice for a pet

Never heard about this to be two different breed types, which are the others? I understand that in the 40 years of GDR communist breeders (much more ideological state influence) had other goals loon at the Czechoslovakian wolf dog as another example

D`ont get the West...get the Workings....i`m Trainer in Germany for GSD...get Black or Grey....the West arent the Dogs you know as GSD
