I'm so frustrated. Idk what is happening. I plug the onkyo mic, press start, have dirac app find the receiver and went through the process of calibration. Then it takes me to filter design I keep it as is and saves. I unplug the mic and turn on dirac at the receiver and no sound. I switch dirac off and there is a pop and receiver cycles through protection then pops again and turns off. With dirac there is a pop and receiver turns off and starts protection mode

Good question, I have the reference - AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX with Type-C(1), DisplayPort(2) & HDMI(1). Ironically I can get video signal to work off the GPU type-C Port but I can't get the headset to calibrate or work properly with controllers. Seems to be a software glitch. iVRy drivers work for direct type-C GPU video signal but I'm stuck with both Sony and iVRy drivers not working to calibrate controllers or set play space. Seems like this should be the GPU that works the best, but it seems to be the worst. Tried a couple of Nvidia GPU. The Nvidia 4090 & 4060 Ti GPU both work with the Sony drivers and just limited buggy problems. Can't seem to find any AMD Magic for Sony drivers even using the Sony PSVR2 PC Adapter instead of type -C. FYI - I'm not having any issues with Bluetooth the controllers. Hello dathyr1! This method is great if you have an older GPU with a virtuallink port and you don't want to spend 60 bucks on the adapter. Plus the adapter also brings in the hassle of an extra power cord and you need to have another DisplayPort cord. You save all that if you connect it directly. If you already have a Quest 3 of course you don't need this. But if you play PS5 and want to explore the PC VR world, this is a great solution.

@@SamDansCouch I agree with all you say in your reply. Didn't mean to sound rude in any way. I do not have a Play Station 5, so I mainly do PC gaming with my Quest 3. I just did some quick checks and the PSVR headset looks to be back up to original pricings and the PC adapter module is unavailable on Sony direct website. So Good luck for those that do have the PSVR headset to play games on the PC. I will say we do need a pretty good gaming PC to play allot of the newer games, so there is a cost factor there.

@@dathyr1 It‘s all good 😊 I am glad that the VR worlds come together now and that Playstation players and enjoy Steam VR and PC players can chose to buy themselves a PSVR2. It‘s gonna help the future of VR gaming. I think Sony was caught off guard themselves with the demand for the PC adapter, it is really hard to get right now. They should keep the price of PSVR2 lowered and keep the momentum going.

It would be interesting to see tests/comparisons, with and without the Psvr 2 adapter. I wonder if there will be a difference in image quality. I am interested in the following: the Psvr 2 adapter connects to the PC via Display port, and then we connect the Psvr 2 headset to the USB type c port on the adapter itself. And the question arises, is there a difference? Maybe the adapter gives a better image or there is no difference at all?

Hello Rostovgenchik! I will be getting the official adapter soon as well and test if there are any differences. I don't expect any but I will compare it 🙂

Does this work with a laptop (3060RTX) Thunderbolt Usb-C?

@@darkz_hr8 Hi Darkz 🙋‍♂️ Unfortunately no, anything from the RTX 30series upwards doesn‘t support the required VirtualLink function which is needed for PSVR2 to work.

@@SamDansCouch thx for the fast reply, my laptop doesn’t have a display port. So i thought i could use the usb-c port, but unfortunately no :( Is there a adapter i could buy for hdmi>Display? Or usb C>Display. Because i really don’t want to spend 1000$ more just for a pc with Display ports😅 (i do not own a psvr2 adapter, but will buy if people find a solution)

@@darkz_hr8 No, even though physically it is an USB-C port, virtuallink requires certain specs like more power output and so on. Also Sony rules out any USB-C adapters too. PS VR2 does not support the use of HDMI-to-DisplayPort conversion adapters or USB Type-C-to-DisplayPort conversion adapters. I wish everyone with a USB-C port could pop in their VR2 but technically there are still little differences. The world of different standards.

I was not able to connect both controllers at once with my internal BT too. After connecting the first one sucessfully and turn it off afterwards, i was able to connect the second one. Turn on the first one again, now both controllers were recognized and connected with the PC and work like charm.
