The road from Salen to Ardnamurchan Lighthouse would like a word: 25 miles of single track. Decent view and cafe at the end though.

I totally agree with you, this is the best bit of Scotland and it's something most people miss. There are very good campsites at Sandyhills Bay and Brighouse Bay on the way there. I share your excitement about visiting the extremes of the country and believe me, the southernmost point of Scotland is so much more impressive than the same point in England! That castle looks amazing, it's definitely on the list now! I love the views we get on the coasts of the Irish Sea, seeing the other parts of the UK from a single point (I think you have to go to the Isle of Man to see all of them). Thank you so much for making such enjoyable videos. All good wishes, Pete in the Lake District.

When your pouring the water from your water container always open the top to allow the water to flow better. It allows air in .

Ma'am you have balls of steel! Just thinking about visiting a bothy/remote place by myself gives me an anxiety attack. My eyes widened when you said you used earplugs so you can sleep. I could never, especially since the bothy has no locks and I couldn't hear if someone or something comes in the bothy.

Drumrunie to Reiff is 16 miles long and very beautiful. At Reiff there are fantastic cliffs and usually a good swell making some great picture opportunities with the green water and red sandstone. Usually a quiet road.

One of the most emotional things to occur in my job was a visit to the Commonwealth Graves Commission in Arras. Helping them with their methods in restoring the headstones and to see two being machined and the engraving of the ages of the two young soldiers only 17 and 18. Very sobering. A visit to Thiepval and the Canadian memorial brings home the reality of it all.

You should go to Lochranza on Arran. Go into the sandwich shop and walk back past the pier. Sooner or later, a deer will jostle you to get your sandwiches.
You have the gift of gab, Lassie. I took an overnight ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. Woke up to 10-15 foot seas…but good ‘sea legs’. My grandfather said it was calm! He was raised here…better sea legs. Once ashore, boarded a small gauge train…got a little sea sick !

As a former mail lady / letter carrier for canada post, i've been attacked many times. I know people love their dogs but I have no use for canines now. None what-so-ever. Everyone used to say to me "My dog doesn't bite.: I would always reply "Your dog doesn't bite YOU"... I'm sorry this happened to you. Thats horrible, and can be very traumatic. Seeing you choking back tears afterwards broke my heart.

Hairy wee road. Pity you didn't show the scars of the huge landslide by the dam - it was only a few years ago, closed the road, nearly took out part of the dam and did cut off the electricity supply to a large part of Skye. If you were out for the day climbing and parked on the far side of the dam (most climbers would have been) you'd have been stuck! The bit of road at the end is simply terrifying. Locals and posties, delivery drivers, cattle trucks, log lorries, heavy machinery on low loaders, all use the road and can/do frighten the wits out of unaware drivers. Hairy wee road. 😊

Interest video clip .🎉🎉🎉Have fond memories of my father eating Haggis..Black pudding and drinking Black Velvet (Guinness and Champagne) as brunch after a New Year bash...apparently great anti hang over remedy..but I had a interesting assignment to sail and assist a Scottish tug and its tow which had parted in extreme sea conditions rounding the Cape of Good Hope...after successfully assisting them in re connecting the tow..and their Captain on hearing my Scottish name...very kindly sent across two haggis with cooking instructions..was pleasantly surprised how awsome it tasted..needlessly to say did not share them with my officers or crew.politely selfish..😂😂😂😂

What an honest and brave video, well done for posting it. Van life is great but when things start going wrong and you are away from things you know and understand, it can quickly build up. It's specially worse when you are on your own because it's you that has to sort it out, you that has to keep going and you that has to get yourself home. That's when it's so important to have a HOME to go back to. I was in that situation 15 years ago when I had my passport and resident's permit stolen in Mexico, just when I was planning to return to the UK. You did good, getting yourself home safely - you know you can rely on yourself but somehow I don't think that's news to you !

I just watched your video, and I am amazed by your work. You presented everything so well in your videos. In this video, it was shocking to hear about the series of unfortunate events you experienced. I felt especially sad about the last incident where the lady's dog bit you. She had the dog on a leash and could have prevented it, but she didn't even apologize to you afterward. As a good human being, she could have at least asked about your health. Her behavior was really disappointing, but you handled it with such bravery. As a Muslim, it is prohibited in our religion to keep a dog in the house without a valid reason; we can only keep it for safety purposes. We can keep hens, ducks, and goats, but not dogs. While dogs are loyal animals, but they can bite also, and their saliva is considered unclean in our faith. If a dog's saliva touches us, we need to clean ourselves before we can pray.
