I see the dancer's wearing some heavy soled shoes. Must be for all that broken glass -- plates, mostly. :-) Thanks for the instruction.

Hi svetlanavukolic8242, I have music on the second video. If you can't find it, its because it is blocked in your country due to the music.... Hence, no music on first video

Hello, I am a dance major student at a university and our research project is to research different cultures and learn about a specific dance. I see that hasapiko is a greek folklore dance. I was wondering if you can share some knowledge on this dance, as well as if my group and I can ask you a few questions in a quick interview and learn a short little combination of that particular dance. Thank you.

Awesome! Love the attitude in the dance it’s what I have trouble with. I gotta get it right for our festival in June.

I have watched a zeimbekiko danced by Giorgos Ninios in a film(I can't remember the title right now.'Rembetiko' was it that?The Movement was MINIMAL,yet Passion was Expressed).Well,I'm just mentioning it,being someone who contempts 'technique' in excess,compared to the Feelings meant to be expressed.

I've watched several Pentozali tutorials and yours has been the most helpful one.I'm learning it to impress a cretan guy.I live in Hellas(=Greece),a native.It's a Small World.Thank you!

does it matter which foot you start on? is it Sirtos or Balos, and one more thing what do Sirtos and Balos mean?
@ProfitisElias3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sky Line, doesn't matter which foot you start with. The dance is actually called Ballos but Cypriot Greeks call it Sirtos. A sirtos is actually any dance where you hold hands and go round in a circle.

@@ProfitisElias thank you so much!! it sounds so cool!! i started listening to random Greek music and most of it is very familiar, so i guess i was supposed to dance to it, right?

ok for 3:11, for each step do i turn a new direction? also what does "zeibekiko" mean?
@Leona_Rose3 жыл бұрын
It's a good explanation. I like it. You make it easier to lern the steps in front of a video. I saw a few who writes lesson and dance directly to the music. So I couldn't understand the steps. But you explain every single step more than once. Thank you.
