I am so moved by this story! What has happened to America and how everyone loved thy neighbor as themselves! I'll keep praying for a return to God almighty for this great nation!😢😢😢

He grew up wanting to buy one of the cool cars in a car magazine. Instead he built a car so cool, it made it into those same magazines. That's about as bad-ass a thing as I've ever heard.

Mexican Man here myself. I always get looked at and discriminated. I dont say anything just keep on moving. Little do they know that I would probably risk my life to save them. We are built different and only we understand. Here us proof that if we become friends you are now Family and we will move mountains for you

Great story. Love the car. The 928 and /or the 911 is my dream car. But at 51 years old, it’s unlikely I will ever have one. But, enjoy your dream and congrats.

I took my LS 2 to Mayheim Motorsports. They told me they were backed up and they had an older guy outside of the company to build my engine. I think boost doctor took it home and built it…… how do I get one of those boost doctor T-shirts?

Had 2 MCSS's a 85' & 87' at the same time. I showed the 87' all stock orig. 85' was my daily driver. You did a great job on that monte!!! Really love your wheels!! I would do 8"inch offset in the rear instead of 10's. But really COOL!!! YOU DID THE RIGHT ON THE UNDER NEATH!!! GREAT STORY!!! I DID THE SAME THING TO MY 73' EL CAMINO SHOW CAR I HAVE TODAY!.

I'm watching this in June 2024, so hope Ervin's parents have visited him since covid times and have enjoyed his beautiful 308 with him! Love Ervin's story - it's pretty much the same as mine, having bought my 328 in my early 50s. I adore the cars of this era which we grew up admiring as young lads - to my mind they are fascinating in their style, some of their idiosyncrasies, the sounds they make, and the raw driving experience that was dialled out of cars since the 90s. I wish Ervin was local to meet for drives and chats, but as I'm in the UK it's not possible. Keep on enjoying your 308 Ervin if you read this! 😀

I found one when I was a kid, and I fell in love with it. It was a '79. The last carbureted 308. Red/Saddle. This was in 1983 and it was 5k for a tune-up in L.A. Everyone traded-up just before the major tune-up mileage. You had to drop the whole Power-pack out the back. Engine, trans and rear end. My dad scared me away from it, so I bought a Vette instead. Then a neighbor comes by and introduces himself. He has a warehouse full of Ferrari parts, and all the tools and manuals! He told me I messed up not buying it, and he was not wrong.

Had to wait till I turned 41 to buy the car I dreamed of since I first saw one from close. Found in Miami a low mileage manual S4, black with linen leather seats. Still have it 31 years after. Brought it back to France, and still can't believe how lucky I am to be able to drive it several times a month except in winter. Still beautiful, amazingly comfortable and stable at illegal speeds. A head-turner more than ever, which doesn't really matters to me, but each time I look at it, I find it as gorgeous as on day one. I even stare at it in my garage, and thank again my Dear wife who has always liked the car and never, ever, even in tough times, asked me part with it. I hope to be able to continue driving 'the beast' a few more years !
