No, the break-up with Sony was mutual and amicable. In fact, it was Ren that first informed them he would be unable to fulfill his contract due to his health. Sony was even kind enough to release the rights to songs he wrote while under them ro Ren free of charge. A couple of those songs are on the Freckles Angels album, one that comes to mind is the song Fire.

Ren has never said anything bad about Sony, he said he kept his symptoms to himself so they had no idea what he was going through until he literally started crying on stage. Most Australian performers will be better live. While the 'official' video is a better quality, I've always preferred this version. With Kasey, each song will embody an emotion, so your next choice sort of depends on what emotion you're after. As others have recommended, 'Captain' is good - its around just being fed up and wanting to just rest in someone's arms. My favourite is 'Kasey Chambers - Nullarbor Song (Live)', which is about homesickness.
