Ohhhhh right!! It was swirling around my head that I knew who they were cause I did a report on Vivian Westwood back in college and I talked about Sid for a moment because she dressed the Sex Pistols like worked on their style 🤓 I just couldn’t remember, it was like 20 years ago that I did this and my memory is not great to begin with lol

Hands down, one of my top five Ren songs. Sid was the bassiet for the punk band, the Sex Pistols. His and his groupie turned girlfriend Nancy had a scorced Earth policy during their relationship, fueled mostly by heroin and ending with Sid stabbing Nancy to death and the ODing on heroin while out on bail for it. Great reaction 213!

Oh ok that’s makes sense lol I went a little deep on that one hahaha Thank you for all the love and support! A few people were reminding me who Sid and Nancy were too in the comments I knew I heard them before but I couldn’t remember! I did a whole project on Vivienne Westwood in college for my fashion design class and used photos of the Sex Pistols band because she dressed them 🤓💕

I remember a story that the bands main members originally met while hanging out in a sex shop/boutique they were always stealing clothes from, which also helped in naming the band the Sex Pistols. Forgive me if I'm off the mark, I'm a little out of the loop on my punk rock lore. Age, I suppose. Regardless, I consider them one of the first true punk bands who started something I still love this day. You should do a Sex Pistols reaction! "Anarchy in the UK" is the easiest choice but "God Save the Queen," "Holiday in the Sun" or one of my favorites "Bodies" would also be awesome. Something to consider. They're also one of Rens favorite bands, of that helps, lol. Keep it up 213!

John Frusciante is the guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers Sid and Nancy is Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungeon. He was the bassist for the Sex Pistols. She was murdered and he was a suspect but died himself shortly thereafter. There's a movie about them called "Sid and Nancy" where Gary Oldman plays Sid.

This was right after Ren split with his management and was his way of sticking 2 fingers up to the music industry. Written, filmed (on just two mobile phones), produced and released in just a few days - it's almost like Ren wanted to prove things could be done that quick and was him just going out and having fun with music again after his bitter experience with his management company.

One of Ren's friend and a member of his team (Kai) just posted a pic from Calgary, Canada. It looks like Ren is back in Calgary and has already started his treatments this week. We haven't heard from his social media accounts in about 3 days, so he slid back to Canada and started his aggressive treatment. I believe it is similar to the strong chemo meds/antibiotics. He said it was going to put him on his back, so not a peep out of him. He usually posts on IG a few times a day. I always check at lunch time. I know I sound pitiful 😂. But caught his friends post explaining what was up. My cup is half/full....meaning optimistic. My cup is half/empty is pessimistic. Ren is filling the Whole bucket, that sounds very optimistic to me. He just finally cut ties with a nightmare manager, his contract didn't get renewed because he was to sick to fulfill it from Sony. But the manager was a prick and gave him a hard time. Chinchilla also had the same prick manager and she hated him, so that should give you an idea. This song is celebrating his freedom from him.

I hope he is doing alright I know he was on the waitlist to start his treatments again after having a relapse and I’m glad atleast he got that started! Sending so much love to him 🙏🏻💕 No you don’t sound pathetic lol you care about him and his posts are always so great to read! Someone in the comments just told me about that with disconnecting from the manager but I didn’t realize chinchilla dealt with the same one! No wonder why they bonded lol These companies are so greedy and care only about the bottom dollar! It’s sickening and I’m so happy he does his own thing now 💕

lol! 'Pleb' is from the Roman 'Plebeian'. The term plebeian referred to all free Roman citizens who were not members of the patrician, senatorial or equestrian classes. Working class heroes. Plebeians were average working citizens of Rome - farmers, bakers, builders or craftsmen - who worked hard to support their families and pay their taxes.

Yup! it really is impossible not to bop along with this one! Another great reaction Elizabeth. Btw, a "pleb" is a really old descriptive from Roman times when the population was divided into two classes, "patricians and plebeian" the upper and lower classes of Roman society). Therefore a "pleb" is someone of lower class.
