I'm a student who travels from time to time and I use my smartphones like the Huawei mate 10 pro and currently the Galaxy S22 to take casual photos of nature and buildings. The images in my opinion look good and many friends and family members think the same. What platforms would be good for selling these photos? I can't edit images but I have a steady hand and want to use this skill to have some extra side hustle cash.

So how come there are so many KZbinrs doing reaction content to other people's videos and they never get a model or property release for any of them. Could they potentially be sued?
@LukaAzman7 күн бұрын
Well, I am not sure how this works. Model and property releases are used when the images will be used commercially. This reaction stuff probably fall into "education" category, which is different I think. But I am not 100% sure :)

thanks for sharing this video, Really useful. need a small guidance from you. I am new to Shuttershock. I created few illustrations on Adobe Express related to World Blood Donor day and uploaded on Shutterstock. I can see these are rejected with the reasons - Plagiarized Content - I created these on Adobe Express and not copied from somewhere else. Does this rejection means that illustration created using different platforms like Adobe Express or Canva is not allowed to sell as stock. Need your guidance on this please. Your guidance will be very useful for me so that I will be careful in future. Thanks for your time and guidance.

John's doing okay making 40c a month, I only made 10c last month. 🤣 Seriously though, that image had only just been uploaded, so I have high hopes for it and I've made way more than that over the years. It's only just recently that I've gotten back into uploading images and getting more serious about it. I started back in 2007 and should have stuck at it over the years.

Hi . Thank you for your channel, it's one of the few I follow. Do you think it's bad right now to just upload AI images to Adobe Stock and photos taken by me to Shutterstock? I ask you this because Shuterstock has the option for editorial images and Adobe Stock doesn't have that option. This is one of the many questions I would like to ask you, but over time I will ask you the others. Continuation of your magnificent and videos. THANKS

Do you need model releases for the photo where they applaud? there's so many people in the shot. Thank you!
@LukaAzman2 ай бұрын
No, I didn't have releases for this shot. But they were a bit less strict back then, so I am not sure if that image would be accepted today.
@teo_montenegro2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video!! Why didn't you have to send a model release for the photo with your hands? I thought that since it could be a recognizable body part, we had to have authorization by sending a model release. What is the rule that allows this? What is the limit in these cases to have to send or not? I have several photos and videos with just body parts, but I stopped sending them, thinking I would have to send a model release.
@LukaAzman2 ай бұрын
Well, it really depends. If there are some recognizable details on body parts, then you should upload model release. But if not, it is ok. But also it depends on the inspector and also, this image was quite old, and maybe it would be rejected these days, because they were not that strict back then.

Im from Sydney. I thought we cannot use Opera House as stock footages...

Well, it depends. If it is just a part of the city skyline, it is ok. But if it is too prominent in the photo, then it is not ok.

@LukaAzman2 ай бұрын
@thisissajeeb Well, my most used lens is 35mm, so this is the first lens I would get. And then something like 85 or 70-200. And later it is also good to have something wider, like 24mm. I use 12-24.

Good night. How do you ensure that a buyer, after buying a photo of you, doesn't sell it as if it were that buyer's photo? What security does shutterstock give you so that this doesn't happen to you? Thanks
@LukaAzman3 ай бұрын
Well, you don't have any control over that. But I am sure somebody who will buy your photo will not sell it as his own. I think somebody who wants to sell other people's photos won't pay for them. Probably the people who want to sell other people's work will just download the images from websites that are already using them. But if you find somebody who is selling your images, you can report that, and they can close their account or at least delete your photos from their portfolio.

I don't remember which video, I can't find it anymore, sorry for this, but I would like to ask anyhow: in that video you said that one pic was sold only 5 times and earned you 78€. How is it possible? It is more than 10€ per download, even with exclusivity seems to be too high. Could you please explain?
@LukaAzman3 ай бұрын
Well, there are different licensing models. Somebody can buy your photo with extended licence, and you can get 100$ or even more for one sale. Or somebody can buy your photo on gettyimages, and you can get even more, becase photos are selling there for around 500$. This revenue system is quite complicated, so I am getting from a few cents per photo to 100$ or even more.
