Thanks, Luka. Nice to video from you again as it helps me to get more focused in stock. Hope to get more serious in 2023. Any tips on how to get models in a new country ? I just recently moved to Italy and don't many friends to rely on - is pure Instagram/TikTok canvas the way to go or maybe Model Mayhem, etc ... ?

Thanks! Well, I haven't used instagram for finding models. When we were travelling, we usually used Model Mayhem. Also, there are probably some facebook groups like "Models in Italy" or something similar, where you can join and ask. Or for example, when we were looking for surfers in Australia, we posted that in a group "Surfers in Australia" or something similar :)

thank for great video, i wanna ask are you exclusive with istock? i am right now submitting my images to several agencies and i wanna know if exclusive istock contributor is making more money than non exclusive one.

Yes I am exclusive on iStock. Well, it is hard to say and it really depends. I would say you can make more money as an independent contributor, but as an exclusive you have more time to shoot and upload more, because you know how it is, uploading to multiple sites takes a loooot of time with all the keywording and everything else. Hi, Luka Azman I want to buy a new Camera for stock photography, I have already Canon 200d Mark II, But I want to upgrade, Can you please suggest me a budget camera for stock photography. I am very thankful to you.

Well that is a really tough question for me, since I don’t know these entry level cameras 🙈 But what my advice is that buy a mirrorless camera, not dslr, because that is the future. That way, if you buy some lenses, you can also use them later, when you upgrade to more professional camera. But pretty much all cameras these days are taking good photos, so you can just use what you have for now, until you have the money to buy a better camera. In my opinion it doesn’t make sense to go from one budget camera to the other. I am not sure if I helped with this, but it also depends on what you want to shoot, what your budget is,…

At what stage you will start to earn more money for your photographs?

Well that is really hard to say! Depends on the quality of the images, topic, keywords,…. But usually images need around 6 months to start selling more and around 1 year to reach its peak.

You have to live in a place where models are cheap... At current going rate in the US, it makes zero sense to do this unless you're a production house that does everything plus video and has private clients...
