Hi, been using cold cream for about 1 year now. Just realized oh...they slathered this stuff on and left it overnight. I was only using it to wash my face. Thought....going need to make some then. Came across your video. Sounds good! Make this later today! Thanks!!!❤

When I watched your garments in 2020 video, which I found searching for vintage sewing videos, my first thought was - she looks so much like a young Winona Ryder! And here you are dressing up like her in Beetlejuice! Awesome.

Coral-gold dress: Pretty! I have the hip bubble and back of skirt extra fabric issue also. There is an 11-in difference between my waist and hip, more than patterns are designed for-interesting idea of the grain being a problem. I think your idea of re-grading is a good one. I usually just pin fit a skirt after basting the side seams. I learned that from the pattern I mention below. The back extra-fabric issue: I learned from a 1980 Palmer-Pletch McCall’s fit-as-you-sew bias skirt pattern to tie 1/4” elastic around the smallest part of the waist. Then put the basted together skirt (unattached to bodice) on under the elastic with the elastic at the waist seam line. Then pull up on the skirt at the back until the wrinkles disappear; chalk in new seam line. This works! You can do the same thing to the bodice. It’s the way I now do a swayback alteration on dresses-fabrics behave differently, so I think it can be better to do that in fabric than on the pattern. Fitting is hard! Thanks for sharing these beautiful vintage projects!!

@@lynnschofieldolf thanks for such a detailed explanation of the bubble! I’ll have to keep that in mind for my next skirt pattern 😊

This is so helpful for me. I went to hair dressers to cut my hip length hair and get a shoulder length bob with layers and the hair dresser gave me this haircut. I was so upset because it wasn’t what I wanted, but after seeing this I realize that maybe this was a blessing in disguise. I love vintage style and I have some rollers so here goes nothing!

Hip length 😮 some hairdressers are scissor happy. How’d it look let me know. I bet it looks really nice, you sure are brave ♥️ and it will grow out you know. 😊 My hair is not as long as yours was it’s shoulder length and longer in back. I cut it myself in the butterfly cut so it’s layered but it’s thick and heavy. I blow it out wet with styling products. Then when I roll it to set, it looks like the Marilyn look and I look good that way (with it rolled) but like you, I’m not sure I can go 4-1/2” from hair this long.😅 Maybe I can start a little longer, idk. I need the height at crown and less at neck so wish me luck!

I've been wearing my hair like this for years. It doesn't look good long and it doesn't look good too short and I've been told for years I looked older than I am. Now that I'm 70 I have matched my hair style. Thank you for a wonderful video. You have a very vintage look about you also and it's lovely 🌻

As someone who’s worked with leather can tell you: DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE HOLE PUNCHES lol. Most folks have a piece of scrap wood specifically for that purpose in case it does go through, so next time, you might want to have something similar handy. Thanks for your review of this pattern, really helped me understand it more.

Grateful to have stumbled upon this older video of yours. Y'know, I'm startled and in dismay over just how ignorant so many working young hairdressers today are. They have no clue about history, niche subcultural references and about vintage styling in general. When you find a great hairdresser who speaks your language and has the skills and work ethic, hang onto 'em and pay 'em every penny they want as they're precious and rare.

Thank you for the comment of 'I think I just missed the measurements' and then fully emailing cuz that is the only reason I was looking for a video.since I am plus size and have a small waist to bigger bust ratio I don't need it to squeeze for hourglass figure I just need to know nothing will be spilling out when playing a cute hobbit. But not given a approximate just means I am now 3 mock ups deep and watching this video!
