Fantastic job on the wheels. It's refreshing to see proper silver wheels, not horrible black ones (though, Gold wheels can go surprisingly well with red cars) Nice one! 👍

Big Thanks to you for this video that "saved my life". I had my Ford Fiesta 2005 with a blower making alarming noises. This noisy blower was installed by my mechanic that changed the faulty original one with a fan recovered from junkyard. He said that it was impossible to find a new blower for this old car because the original Ford spare part would have cost me hundreds of euros (!). The problem was that this "new" blower worked but was noisy as hell. So I went on almosta a year with this horrible noisy fan. Then I started to think that maybe a little greasing could have improved the situation. So i searched online and I found you video. After viewing the video I took courage and embarked on the task of dismantling the noisy fan it to see if I could fix the problem. After a lot of curses I managed to disassemble the fan. I tried with electrical motor lube and then I temporarily reassembled the fan (only two screws and without the moving cover). The noise was still there. So I searched with google and I found a online shop in my country (Italy) that was selling the right fan for my car model at an affordable price. So I bought the fan (45 Euro) and then I assembled it (with a lot of curses again) and now it works like a swiss watch. I thik I watched your video at least 10 times to memorize where the parts and the screws are located. A thousand thanks to you

stumbled onto this while trying to figure out what, if any, options there were for the Mk7. I'm not sure what it's like in the UK, but in the US, the HVAC lights are teal green, the radio lights are white, and the gauge cluster is red and white - none of it matches and it's annoyed me since day one. I might feel brave enough to take this on now. Unfortunately it looks like everything in the Mk7 is a super tiny SMD.

Great video. Used this after fitting steering wheel with cruise control to my c max. Had to do a couple of extra steps in Forscan though. As well as enabling cruise control I had to go into Engineering 1 mode and select Adjustable speed limiter then change it from without ASL to with ASL. Write this change the same as you did for cruise control. Then most importantly you need to go into DTC on Forscan and clear errors. (I had B112B steering wheel module error). After that cruise control worked fine.

@@MendItModIt Is wrong oil viscosity the reason so many of them are failing so early?
@MendItModItАй бұрын
@@LiterallyJesusChrist I think the oil itself does play a part, but hydrocarbons build up in the oil as a result of combustion which degrade the belt. I would only ever use the manufacturer recommended oil on these engines but I would say not changing it regularly enough is probably the main culprit.

Should not oil head bolts I rebuild engines for a living putting any head bolts in at all always should be completely dry where the headbolts go as can cause air lock at bottom and crack head in the very worst case
@MendItModItАй бұрын
Pretty sure I mentioned that in the video, as well as cleaning the bolt holes to remove any oil that falls in during removal. The smallest amount of oil to stop them binding is fine though if they’re clean. It’s the block that would crack, not the head but I think that’s what you meant

I can’t remember man but probably on eBay or Amazon, from memory I think it’s an M12 but I’m not 100% sure
@A7X_foREVer_Philly2 ай бұрын
👎Great idea BUT you made a huge error. Which is why it got harder and harder to put that bolt in. You MUST tap (thread) both holes from one side. If not you end up with one side having reversed threads and you will have to cross thread (ruin) the bolt. Righty tighty lefty loosy. The way it was done the bolt would go thru the first hole with no problem but then hit left hand threads on the other side then it would either stop or cross thread and be ruined. I was surprised you got it in at all TBH. Its vey simple if you think about it. Also stainless harware is very easy to ruin. Ive seen it happen many times at work. Someone with run a nut down with an impact instead of with their hand or wrench, then tighten with impact. If you run the nut down fast with an impact or drill the threads will lock up and it will need to be cut or broke off. Ive personally had to break many stainless studs using a wrench and impact and about 5 min per nut. Its hard work. We couldn't cut because we couldn't produce sparks due to location. 🔥 This is very basic mechanical knowledge. Other then that it turned out nice. Im going to make the whole tool from scratch.
