Washington is my favourite from the show. Chris is the reason for that. But when I saw it on tour in Edinburgh, the cast exceeded any expectations I had going in. It’s hard to live up to the original cast when they were hand picked and perfect for their role. This show will never get old to me. I will never tire of listening to the soundtrack

For as many times I have seen this, whether it be recorded, or the two times I was fortunate to see it live, I ALWAYS start crying at some point between Eliza reuniting with Alexander, and her gasp before the stage lights go out.

I remember a theory I saw about this last scene that touches my heart a lot. When Lin comes on stage, he's not playing Alexander, he's playing as himself, Lin-Manuel Miranda. And him bringing Eliza closer to the front stage to show that he told her story to us all, with the gasp at the end meant to show she's glad to know that we all know her story and legacy now.
