Jay tries too hard to be like Joey and he's not even that great. Eloy on the other hand makes Joey looks like a fan covering slipknot

Say what you want about Jay but he did make the song, I'm not tryna take anything away from Eloy, I could never,but it's just something worth noting. I hope eloys drumming goes well with them in the studio cause live he's the best drummer they could have wished for

IDK in my opinion Jay was a perfect fit for Slipknot, Eloy is just overqualified, He is overdoing some parts.

It don’t matter who you think was/is the best Slipknot drummer. The way they did Joey and Jay should tell you all you need to know about what kind of people are running the band.

Jay is a great drummer and to me he’s much more fluid. Eloy is a beast and hits hard kinda like Lombardo back in the day. If Slipknot is trying to get closer to their early stuff, Eloy is a better choice. But for the later “more polished” stuff, I think Jay works better. Regardless of whoever you like best, I just find it kinda crappy they just let him go like that.

@@rynx398 Bro you clearly dont know anything about eloy. He is a Monster when it means hitting the drums. Jay went too inconsistent at some double Bass parts and speed up every Song. Eloy is a fucking metronome. He deserved beeing the best metal drummer in 2024

Eloy sounds so much cleaner and complex than Jay . All 3 are good. Buy Jay has to make up for the lack of notes with speed, which changes the song for me. I love Eloy

Eloy is just so much more complex and deep and full sound. Respect to Jay, but Eloy makes every song even better.

Joey was the founder of that Slipknot drum sound. He was clean like hell, Eloy is an upgrade to that hitting like HULK and like human metronome. But Joey was unique no one can say he's not.

Gotta go Jay. Because Jay was an actual superfan. He was 100% S-lip-knot. I adore Jay Weinberg. Eloy's awesome, but I just don't think he works for a band like Slipknot. He was better in Sepultura cause he's a great thrash drummer.

They are both really bad ass, but the fact that Jay wrote amazing stuff is just really incredible. I'm glad that slipnot got Eloy, cuz he is amazing and nothing less would do for the band.
