Found your channel via the rubber bridge video, so sick, and this one came at the best time for me 😂 been trying to game plan for the year ahead and it’s hard to conceptualise what to focus on when very few ppl around me make a living in music. So thanks for making this one! Have really wasted time in the past trying to do too many things at once. Keen as for more videos from you!

Man I can relate to it all. 1) Squier to me has always meant trash. My first guitar was a Squier strat in ‘96. Trash 2) After all these years, learning the neck lol. 3) The J Mascos JM is what I’m getting next. First video I’ve seen of yours, keep it up!

It makes me think of a Jay Bellerose style sound, incredible audio quality and the punchy feel is very realistic. Straight to the wish list.

This library sounds awesome! Is it possible to do a multi out routing from Kontakt Player with this free version?
@JonMeyer
@JonMeyer 5 күн бұрын
Our free prototypes are not Kontakt instruments. They work as VST, AU and AAX. No multi-out. Super simple design and functionality.

hey thanks for this, Merry Christmas! i actually needed a funk dry sounding kit, this will work. you guys should produce a kit geared directly toward funk there's not much out there but one shots there's that one drum kit from GGD that is funk but i find it's over polished sounding.

Much appreciated. I picked up your Postfelt library last month. Was looking at Soft Drums, but don't have the funds available. So this will tide me over plenty. There was a bit of a gap in the market, with a lot of drum libraries catering very well to the Heavy/Dark side (e.g. the excellent Bogren Krimh drums, also has a great free version), or the vintage (Addictive Drums Dry, Dead, Soul, Funk, Oyster), or the hyper-realistic side (Superior Drummer 3 State of the Art, Stockholm & Jazz). I was using AD2 Jazz Brush kit. But this is a more artistic take, which will expand my range. Thank you very much. I don't know if you fancy the challenge, but I feel the beautiful Wurlitzer isn't nearly well enough represented in it's full creative range, compared to the Rhodes. And the charming Farfisa compact is another one with bigger potential than currently served. =-

I already own Soft Drums. In fact, I think I own everything from Somerville. But I'm getting this one, and you'll get the 5 dollars of course. Because you guys are AWSOME and do great stuff. Oh, and Happy Hanuka! Or Merry Xmas! Whatever you prefer! Bjørn, Norway.

That's a LOT of my personal information I need to trade for this... what are you doing with all of it? I ask because the link to your privacy policy is broken on your website. Surely my detailed address shouldn't be needed for a digital download?
@JonMeyer
@JonMeyer 7 күн бұрын
Thanks for pointing out the broken link to the privacy policy. I will get that remedied ASAP. As for the personal information, I was simply going with the default store recommendations from WooCommerce. I just now added some additional software to the back end to make billing address, state and city optional. I have no need for that info with digital downloads, and I have done nothing with the info previously collected. All the best!

Some of your libraries are on my list for the coming year. I love what you do at Somerville Sounds... like TCHC, a great alternative to the BIG entities who turn out homogenized content. Happy Holidays to you and yours, Jon! Cheers!

I'll tell you what's almost as hard: when your recording artist client wants Pedal Steel on almost all of their debut album, and you don't know anyone whom plays pedal steel - and - your budget could not afford them if you did. So - - - I'm using the Bright Suitcase piano in my DAW, creating multi-tracks to accommodate the "straight" interval notes, and tracks to emulate the bend notes (using the pitch wheel). These elements, along with EQ and reverb, are producing a nice Pedal Steel line I believe many will appreciate. I hope this will help someone in my same predicament - OR - if anyone reading this can offer me another solution, I'd greatly appreciate it. Cheers!

Thanks for a very interesting glimpse into your workflow. I have Albion One which is also great. Main thing I took away was to try picking a set of sounds first then working up something from there. The limitation seems a good approach instead of endlessly chasing sounds rpthrough countless presets. Much appreciated.

How about... a keyboard 😂. I'm using Home Row to record an orchestral sample library (Spitfire Audio's free Discovery BBC) 🤣🤣🤣. I've discussed it at length with both my husband and our daughter (he knows zilch, she knows what I'm after😊). I just might actually get it 😊.
