Where are you getting all the colored vinyl hose going out to the bays? I need to rerun 3 self serve bays and like the idea of each feature being a different color to diagnose any issues quickly. Thanks

I would be really interested in checking out car washes throughout Europe as what I have seen online looks very modern.

I have a heated hose trough, and the recirculating pump failed, but the Weep Mizer system kept the system from freezing even in subzero temperatures. It's a great system! This is great content, too.

Nice setup! I just installed my weep system last week after my first freeze up. This week I’m doing a similar setup except timed pneumatic purge for my low pressure lines… my trough heat just can’t keep up.

Wish we had a good car wash like yours in town. Naples Florida and we have one self serve. One! And it’s run like shit. I like doing my own vehicle. All we have are drive through quickies washes with homeless guys at the end with towels working for tips. If someone opens a nice good run wash here in Naples they’d make a bloody fortune

Where did you learn to rework and redo the inside of the car washes? I have a wash, but it has been a huge struggle learning things.

Thank you for this! It was instrumental in getting my readers installed (did the same - stripped out the old stuff and ran an LED7 and Nayax in bay along with coin... I do not have bill acceptors in the bays though). Awesome tutorial. One thing - after burning up a couple of cobalt tipped bits, I found that a Dremel with a 9903 bit cuts through the door like butter and doesn't seem to burn up.

I had the boiler burn up that provided customer hot water and I replaced it with a tankless with a recirculating pump as well. I have the tankless feed the buffer tanks for my automatics and self serves, and a re-circulation line to those as well, so there's no shortage of water. The "contingency plan" I have if I'm so busy that it runs out of hot water or can't keep up... then the water just gets a little lukewarm ;) and I'm still doing a better job than the guy that owned the wash before me that didn't provide hot water at all!
@therevestor24 күн бұрын
What type of buffer tank do you have? Something like my Rinse tank or an actual mini water heater?
@normalcarwash22 күн бұрын
@@therevestor The boiler had a 100 gallon insulated storage tank. When I removed the boiler, I kept the tank and I plumbed the output from the tankless to that, so it's recirculating a hundred gallons of hot water at a time. Then from the storage tank it goes to the buffer tanks for hot rinse water for my self serves and the presoak for my automatics.

How much (avg) would I spend to wash my car following the complete process?
@therevestor26 күн бұрын
At my car wash this would be $8-10 for a sedan and $10-12 for suv's and trucks.

Is it hot water for all of the cycles or just rinse? I didn't know hot cleans better.
@therevestor27 күн бұрын
Hot water for rinse and then for soap and wax cycles the pumps use the rinse tank and soap and wax is injected.
@TheSailingwoodworker27 күн бұрын
I don't see how one unit can keep up. Our 199K Takagi @110F can't supply enough for even two bays so we installed a second float valve in the gravity tank that is plumbed with cold water.
@therevestor27 күн бұрын
My plan was to do the same and add in a second float with cold water when the tank got below half but so far this one is keeping up. I will be keeping an eye on it as I imagine over time it may become less efficient and I will need to keep up with running a flush on it.
@davehoffman976728 күн бұрын
Hope you were pulling the trigger as I just tape them like someone is using them. I have 3 of the same models tie in series to operate a 5 bay SS wash. Of course my is direct injection as I don't have any holding tanks for water to cool down. Great choice and good install!!

When you put it in stop, does the timer stop so you can wipe down the car then choose another option after without paying again, or is it that when you put it on stop, it will stop the whole session and you have to swipe your card again?
@therevestorАй бұрын
No the timer continues running even when the switch is on Stop position. The Stop button needs to be pushed on the payment terminal.

Keep your car wash in good working condition and keep promotions it on local social media. You can continue to survive. I prefer self service car washes so that I can get all of my car clean! Tunnel washes don’t always do that for me.
