Good grief this guy is a 1st class moron. Damn there are 3 teqs. That get the job done with huge power that can't be escaped. He keeps trying to make his useless teq. Work takeing all day to explain it over & over ad nauseum. Damn show it then explain it, stop boring people. I'm serious I know what your trying to do it won't work on the street, like I said there are 3 teqs. That hit with ungodly power that leave them sprawled unconscious on the pavement. IT ALWAYS WORKS assuming you can hit. Your way there is no power & so many ways it can be defeated. Do yourself a favor DONT do this on the street. I leave it to you to research this, or let your ego keep you ignorant, good luck

@@lycandefensive Seriously dude you have plenty of skills, you're fit, you have a lot of good ideas.. just go and do streetbeefs or whatever and show it in action, take the step from theory to practice Whatever changes need making you can make them, people will actually respect you for it. If its a perfect result then great you have gained more experience plus can do a bunch of videos on it, and also not have to be angry about comments asking for proof It would be a win for everyone, the self defense industry needs more people that actually do walk the walk, not just talk the talk

@driver3899 I want to tell you that I appreciate this follow up comment. Honestly, not the way I thought this engagement was gonna go, you can never be too sure on here. So thank you! I'm gonna be real with you for a sec. There have been times in the last year where I have had asked myself the same questions that have been asked on here. I have really wondered if I was being honest with myself. So, I have put myself in more scenarios where I can test this stuff in a more pressurized environment. Not as a DL guy, but just as a martial artist. I signed up for an amateur boxing fight, and this stuff worked about as well as you would think. Under strict boxing rules, there was no chance. I could block my head well, but without being able to use much else that the system stresses, it was very limiting. So then I took the next natural step. I signed up at a local MMA gym. Again, not as a DL guy (I am not a DL guy), but as a martial artist trying to find my way. Eventually, I will be at a point where I'll get on here and make some videos on my findings, unbiased because I'm really not trying to sell anyone on anything. I will say, though, it has already been pretty interesting and quite enlightening. Again, thank you for your comment.

@@lycandefensive Here you go, have you heard of the Jeff Phillips Self Defence channel? They are taking applicants for the World of Self-Defence Challenge. They fly you to the training facility, give you a house to stay in and put you through a week of self defense based tests, that would actually be a perfect way to showcase your skills Dont be like a swimming instructor that doesnt want to get in the water, take the plunge!

Defense lab/Keysi are very cool and the shapes look very similar to many of the blocks I’ve learned in Panantukan. And ik this is a self defense martial art where even the intense training is more situational. But I’d love it if you could post some sparring or fully live drilling. It has nothing to do with proving the arts effectiveness I believe it has that and more to do with being able to map what DL’s movements look like in a live setting

@hellohennessy3462Ай бұрын
The actual problem is that most people focus too much on technique and try to keep the shape. Focusing too much on technique is a huge problem in many martial arts especially at a hobbyist and amateur level. In a fight, you need all of your head concentrated on the fight, but when you have to think about technique, you take that power away. Focusing on technique can also lead to hesitation and other small but accumulative effects that become detrimental in the long run. In high level fighting, technique becomes half baked because speed and concentration is worth more than good technique.

I’ve heard this story from other people I’ve known personally who grew up training a striking art. I am 50 and these guys were around kickboxing, boxing, TKD and karate, before there was mma. Certainly before anyone had access to muay Thai. All of their stories involved being humbled by a wrestler, Judo guy, or later on a BJJ guy. All before the popularity of mma. Which I guess this type of interaction spurred mma later. I can say I don’t think I have ever heard a grappler say they have been “got” by a guy that’s untrained. I think the fundamentals of the arts are different, wrestling and other grappling arts are very brawling in nature. Probably why in early mma wrestlers and other grapplers did so well and continue to do so. To quote Tank Abbott “if you can’t wrestle you can’t fight!” I agree with your assessment though. There is no 1 perfect system. I’m mainly a grappler but I’ve scattered trained all the things you’ve talked about throughout my life. I’m mainly a grappler because as I got older and deal with life, family, job I only have so much time in the day. Otherwise I’d do exactly what you are saying, cross train, get some basic striking, take in some FMA, keep grappling and apply some mma.
