I have turned soldier from tf2 into a liquid sim with 512 subdivisions. Blender is using 32 gb out of 48 gb of ram. That's why it's not responding.

"Use Library Path" is for when you link an object from another .blend file. If that option is checked and you link to it, the bake from the original file is linked as well. If you plan on linking an object in other scenes where with different simulations, you'll want that option *unchecked*. Otherwise, you won't be able to bake the physics locally.

At about 15:44 - how the heck you select *one* metaball? I haven't played with metaballs in years. Selecting one kept selecting both. Then I found the secret: Must be in Edit Mode! Select the red ring. The green ring - ignore for now. But I don't think I saw your screen capture at that point showing a switch to Edit and back to Object mode.

Why did you delete the default cube and then add another one?

I've followed the exact steps from the start of the video but when i press play the cube thats a liquid just stays there and nothing happens?

My cube isn’t disappearing as I’m following along lost at the moment

Sometimes it just stops simulating the liquid. It'll work then I hit play again but nothing happens. My inflow just stops creating liquid. Since I have kept it small I can just create a new project and restart but it's happening way too often and I'm now getting nowhere.

So I am actually trying to do something like what you have at the beginning and end of your video where an object shoots out of the water. Do you have a tutorial on that?
