Upon installation and aligning the tab to slot, I had to loosen the top three bolts to get it align. I used Monroe (Shock/Spring replacement) though, so not sure if that will help anyone.

What size Allen key was it? H4.5 by any chance? Ps: great Aaarcghs! 😂

Far less money to replace the rubbers only. You can order them direct from your Mazda dealer if they do not have them in stock already. Replacing the rubber only will save a bundle. Do it !
