Hi! I would REALLY appreciate your advice as I need to make a very rapid decision. I either need to buy the Go Pro Hero 13 or the DJI Action 5. Could you please advise? The main purpose will be snorkelling video with some scuba! I actually ordered the GoPro Hero 13, it's arriving soon but I have been watching videos and have really confused myself. The video on the go pro looks so... Green? Which would you recommend? My priorities are underwater video. Plus good battery life, plus easy file transfer without a laptop. I’ve seen that the DIJI is supposed to be better in low light and the GoPro have more crisp details and better in the daytime but the videos I’m watching, the DIJI seems to blow the go pro out of the water in every one? Plus apparently DIJI has longer battery life and is waterproof to 20m vs GoPro’s 10 meters. I am torn because I have read that most of these videos are people being paid by DIJI so I’m very confused. I will put some links in: 1) The go pro footage here just looks very… green? You can bring your GoPro down to about 20 feet without the case, the buttons stop function at around 20 feet however…I would recommend using a case regardless because it just offers a bit more extra protection

I used the underwater housing from telesin, it’s the cheapest and most reliable option that I have found. You can get them off of amazon.

I used to dive with a GoPro10Hero Black. It didn't take long before I encountered problems which caused me to loose so much video and shuts. I sold it and got the OA4 and I love it. I always dive with it in a case, DJI or Telesin plastic but will soon get an aluminum case. I shoot video in 2.7K25FPS, standard (dewarp), AWB, Exposure Auto, ISO 100 to 800, Color Normal. I dive in 28C - 31C waters, rarely deeper than 30m/100'. I prefer the video of this camera and the wide angle stills over those of my TG6 but obviously the TG6 is a clear winner for macro. I was thinking of also getting the 5PRO due to its 40MP stills but have been advised to wait for the 6 that should come out within a couple of months.

That’s awesome! I love the 5 pro so far and I agree the TG6 is going to give you great macro and the DJI will give far better wide shots than the tg6. I am looking forward to the ace pro 6 as well but I would imagine that it might not be until September when it is available….but who knows! Best of luck!

Thank you! Sounds like you are doing some sort of tech diving, I would recommend a more robust tech housing. I know that they make them for GoPro but I would bet that they have them for DJI now too. Check a website called backscatter

Hi! If your main goal is to post on social media, 4k is plenty but shooting in 5.3k will give you a little bit of room to crop into image of you needed to….i hope you enjoy your new camera, good luck!

You may want to be sure that you are the correct aspect ratio or not on a high frame rate as some of these options will limit your available resolution options

Yes you can but the red filter isn’t necessary even at the depth, the WB should be able to take care of itself without it
