Sims 4 is "inclusive" for only certain groups of people :D There is still 0 slavic ethnicity or culture representation. Or how about proper albino representation? Nah, they only include things that are "popular". I'd like to say maybe in future updates, but I doubt that

I've been playing the sims4 for 8 years now, and I can say I'm so happy that they're slowly adding more and more diversity and inclusivity (both in terms of gender identity and sexuality, but also in terms of culture and ethnicity (clothes, furniture, the bindi face paint,...) I'm so so glad ea is updating the game as society evolves, people are an infinite source of diversity and so should be our sims ^^

I have the shopping oart and it actually has changed a few time. First there was this persistent glowing dot on it, then text boxes popping randomly under it. Last time I popped in to test the game on a clean save it wasn't doing anything but even when it's not doing anything I am waiting for it to DO something and so I haven't really played since it was implemented. Also, KZbinr merch is overpriced but also a lot of them are selling through shops where they get a small percentage and on the RARE chance I buy youtuber merch, I am supporting the KZbinr because I think they are worth supporting. EA is a multibillion dollar company, no I am not paying $40 for a baseball caps I could get for $10 at Walmart just because you slap a plumbob on it.

A lot of people have said they enjoy building because they find the gameplay boring, not because they are not interested in it just that the gameplay isn't intrested enough to keep their attention. Also a lot of Sims-Tubers/Social Media Influencers do what's popular 'on camera'. Building is very popular on camera. I don't think people who post on KZbin as a career are a good measure of the divide between CAS/BUILDING/GAMEPLAY since once you start making money from yourube, you do the things that make you money and get you views. James Turner enjoys building but from his Lets Plays you can tell, when it's working, he loves gameplay that motivates and shapes the building as opposed to just playing virtual legos for the sake of playing virtual legos. I think we all exist in some percentage of intrest in multiple areas of Sims. Like I am not big on CAS or Building but both matter to me by some degree. I love building a neighborhood slowly through gameplay and I do care when the tools to do so aren't there.

The Sims 3 is amazing it was the peak of EA in terms of creativity and all it's expansion pack further add to the base game.

When closing out the game to the main menu, everything’s listed. People know where to buy packs, even brand-new players. re: (02:10) ‘I don’t have the shopping cart image, yet, otherwise I’d verify for you whether it was in this section or not.' - That's very thoughtful. About the image - might've been a limited rollout. When checking in the game to verify before posting on community page, it was static, but some people did report a flashing image early on. Will go in-game for a second to see where it shows up. Okay, it’s top-right of screen when playing a household, same when on specific world map, same when on worlds page, same in build view. (02:29) ‘To me it seems shameless they would do that. They’re already pumping out the packs. And people are advertising the packs. They have new "merch," as well - some of it is cute but it’s all way overpriced.’ - That’s a great point, actually. Whenever a pack comes out EA gets free advertising basically worldwide. Generally don’t do pack reviews, but did one for the ‘Romantic Garden’ pack even though already have it, because it was free for a limited time and wanted to let people know the pack was free and what was in it. But, yes, whenever new packs come out, there are wall-to-wall episodes about it. EA is not lacking for free advertising at all. The merch, haven’t even looked at it. Don’t collect merch and knew it would be overpriced. But if someone wants to get it and enjoys it, go right ahead. re: (03:14) Clothing - Was browsing prices onscreen with you and 80 bucks (CAD) for a simple hoodie or sweatpants isn't particularly reasonable; the quality likely isn’t very good, just paying for the branding. Then again, some people are quite willing to spend way more for designer brands so it’s all relative. re: (03:19) ‘This plushie is ten inches. How big is ten inches. I’m going to go get a measuring tape.’ - Somehow the fact that you took the time to bust out a measuring tape is so entertaining. Like: Look, this is serious. We are thoroughly investigating this plushie situation with all due concern for the unsuspecting public. Also, noticed it’s 40 bucks (CAD). The audacity. You know someone’s going to buy it, though. re: (12:48) ‘If people don’t want EA to keep coming out with more packs and not fixing current packs - stop buying.' / (15:13) ‘Don’t spend money on something that isn’t that interesting to you.’ - If someone knows what they want and what they don’t want, the shopping cart doesn’t really even need to be there. The front page lists all the packs and kits available, so if they want a pack - they’ll get it. If they don’t want it - they won’t. Sticking the shopping cart image in-game is more intrusive and unnecessary than convenient, useful, or appealing in any way; can imagine a lot of players clicking on it by accident. Either way, the shopping image is taking up UI space and seems redundant when the entire front page of the game is basically stuff to buy. So far have only the static image. It doesn’t need to be there, but overall not too bothered. Might use a mod to remove it; believe there’s a hotfix out, already. Although if it starts flashing and can't be removed with a mod, dropping the game. Nice episode and discussion. Overall it would be helpful if EA thought about things before implementing things without a purpose. There are thousands of comments about the addition to the UI, and no one is happy about being nagged to buy packs while in-game. Which makes sense. A lot of players just want to relax, not be annoyed by a 24/7 in-game reminder to buy, buy, buy. Like - chill. If someone wants a pack, they know where to look.

This made me so mad that I literally deleted the Sims. The alternatives are getting better and better anyway. Also the icon actually DOES pulsate lol

I feel like another important factor is to take a look at your hobbies outside of the Sims. If you’re really into sports and fitness, then maybe the Fitness Stuff pack and Spa Day are up your alley. If you’re like me and you’re goth / alternative then packs like Vampires, Spooky Stuff, Paranormal, and Werewolves are gonna be more valuable. I don’t see myself purchasing packs like Jungle Adventures or Journey to Batuu because those aren’t things im interested outside of Sims to begin with

You just happened to pick the laggiest world to play in. There are some tricks to making it less laggy, and I thinks someone here has already mentioned it. It you get frustrated with the lag, try moving the sim to another world and see if it helps. Pick up those little cylinders on your lot and give them to Emit. Then he'll leave and you can turn the portal off and move it or sell it. Also, if you turn off memories, it will help eliminate lag. I love watching those who haven't played much discover new things about the game. I'm looking forward to more episodes.

GG_JoJo - Was just thinking, since you play both ‘The Sims 4’ and ‘The Sims 3,’ it could be an interesting episode to do your ‘Simself’ in both games. Visitors can see the differences in your character between the game versions, and you can talk about which CAS you might prefer, and why. There’s probably cc for ‘The Sims 3,’ so you - might - be able to find a very similar outfit for both to compare also, if it’s something simple like jeans and a tee, simple dress, etc. There’s probably cc furniture for ‘The Sims 3,’ also. The thumbnail would probably be very cute, like you in the middle, and then one version to either side, like visitors can pick which one is the closest match. Guess you could probably also do it in ‘The Sims’ (original game), if you feel like living dangerously.
