Hi Guys. Brilliant video as usual! Very honest appraisal of the 75-4T. Ours is 6 months old now - and have experienced similar to you - and coincidentally seem to have found the same solutions! I've just fitted some wall to wall carpets in the main live area of Ruby (our Adamo) which we bought for £25 as an offcut from a local carpet warehouse! The fitting was easy using the Adamo mats as a rough template and a sharp Stanley knife and tape measure! Ruby is now much much cosier and quieter and feels like a luxury MH! We had excess new carpet made into edged mats for the steps etc. Recommend it!

Ah that sounds great Robin. We had contacted a fitter but he seems to have disappeared 🤷🏻‍♂️😃, so I’m going to get it done like you have. How are the bits on the step standing up? Sue wants them but I’ve said they will just get dirty. (As I’m hopeless at remembering to take boots off!)

Hi Dave and Sue! You’re having some great adventures and really settling in to adventures with Florrie! I hadn’t heard of a Stellplatz before- very nice. Shame when things are closed early in the week, we’ve run into that too. Happy trails and adventures!! Jen 😄🙌🙌👍👍

Thanks Jen. Yes the Stellplatz in Germany were brilliant A lot of them are free but there’s normally a small charge of between five and ten euros. We just loved being able to change our mind about where we were going the next day. We had some bad weather in Austria and Germany and so we just drove to a different area where the forecast was better! It was great fun. Have a lovely weekend ahead Jen.

Hi Dave and Sue, Ooh, we absolutely loved the look of the Stellplatz at the Andechs Monastery and Brewery, what a fantastic place to stay! Easy to see why you guys waxed lyrical about it. We could have stayed there for a week!🤗 Mind you, as you said, probably best not to stay too long, or all the pennies are spent, and too much beer consumed! 😂🍻. Nice to see the sun make a very bread appearance, before back to the rain! Fingers crossed for that week of nice weather to come in the next episode! We are still enjoying catching up with your European travels 🤩. All the best, Shell and Pete 😊👊👍

Cheers guys. This stop was just a fluke. No planning involved at all. We just wanted to try and get away from the Storm. I think that’s what we discovered with a van - that in Europe you can just go where you want every day and change your mind. And this place was so needed after the rubbish couple of days we had had. I’ve never been to an Oktoberfest event but this was brilliant! And they seemed to be doing it every day 😃. Really loved Bavaria and can’t wait to go back. Germany was such a surprise! Have a brilliant weekend Pete and Shell.

Great video Dave and Sue and good to see you are still enjoying your Adamo. It's refreshing to see the positivity you inject into your video's and something I have personally been guilty of is sometimes feeling a little negative around the niggles and problems we have experienced and in some instances the questionable build quality from Bailey. We love our 60-4 as the layout really suits us as a retired couple and the drop down bed was the deal clincher for us when we came to buy, and it's easy sometimes to let the negatives take over and make you question your purchase choice? As you have done, we've also made some improvements to our Adamo and continue to learn and adapt each time we use it, so please keep sharing your thoughts and idea's as they are really inciteful and useful. Take care😁

Hiya Stephen Yes we try to be very honest but positive as we have loved being out in the Adamo. The one thing that really gets to me is the “whistle” in the skylight and the potential for danger on the road. Why oh why Bailey haven’t resolved it on newer models is absolutely beyond me!! 🤷🏻‍♂️. But overall we have loved being out in the van. So many memorable experiences and people met. And so it’s been a huge life change for us and we would t change a thing. Well apart from paying for someone else’s electricity in Germany perhaps 😃 We’re back out in the van next week so will film the table leg and upload that on a future vid. I’m a bit behind in uploads at the moment but will catch up soon. Thanks again for that mate and have a good rest of the week 👍👍👍

Hi, I’ve just bought a 75-4DL, great Motorhome, but it’s very low at the back, and catches my sloping drive. Also I’m looking at fitting a tow bar to tow a small car. What increase in height can you get at max pressure? Thanks and great video.
@NBNatureTrailvan
@NBNatureTrailvan 2 күн бұрын
Hi Steven Cheers for the kind words. I can’t be absolutely sure, but I remember from the Glide Rite chats initially that 0.5 bar increase raises the back by about 2.5cm. The normal travelling pressure should be between 2 and 3 bar. (2 being the lowest) And can be raised to a max of 6 bar for ferry ramps etc. so in theory the increase in height will be 4 x 2.5cm = 10cm. 4 inches Writing all that now seems to give a low result as I was sure it was six inches so to get a fully accurate number, I would give the guys at Glide Rite a call. Karl is a good guy and will assist I’m sure. 👍

Cheers - It has been a year and you for sure have had plenty of experiences in that year. So your review is based on a lot of experience, failures and successes! And at the end of the day you really love Florrie and all she has given to you this year. So for any budding owners there are things to learn here as well as advice on where to find more information (the great group on FB and so on). And imagine what the two year review will be like! You have only started this kind of lifestyle and the best is yet to be! One thing I noticed is that you did not talk much about how the kitchen, shower and washroom works for you when you do not have facilities available. For some people the off-grid experience matters and for those people the kitchen is often a key point! You might think about making a kitchen special one day? So even though I do not use a motorhome it is fun to watch your movies and your natural enthusiasm and cheer! So I hope you find youtubing rewarding and fun as well. As for the kind of mobile homes I am purchasing I got my latest kit today - a bivy bag:-) Have a great weekend and take good care of Florrie! All the best, Ant
@NBNatureTrailvan
@NBNatureTrailvan 2 күн бұрын
Oh wow Ant. Hope you don’t have to use that Bivvy Bag much during an Arctic Winter!! ❄️ Good point on the facilities We didn’t cover that as most Motorhomes have very similar kitchens and washrooms. But a good point to cover for new Motorhome users. 👍👍. The Kitchen is great on the Adamo. Gas and Electric hob and hot and cold water on tap. The Shower and washroom too. The Fridge is three way so can work on electric, gas or the 12v battery It’s a very versatile machine. If I was doing it all again, I think I would still have this Motorhome - the only disadvantage is the size - but that’s why it has so many home comforts!! We did want the van conversion but we’re very happy with Florrie Have a good rest of the week in the North my good friend 👍👍👍

How did you manage to sweet-talk your way into the exhibition early? I see it is a sign that you in a few years will be there to talk about life with Florrie (or her hypothetical replacement;) So great fun to see you exploring the different vehicles in relative peace and there is a lot to choose from, but where there are compromises when it comes to price, design and quality. I liked the layout of the N680 and the social area it has, but the price is a bit high I think. And when it comes to the little tank Morelo it is impressive, but I think I would have opted for an boat instead for that amount of money (a very hypothetical scenario as I did not win in the lottery today). So hoping you came from the exhibition feeling happy about having purchased Florrie, but with ideas and thoughts for the future if things change! Have a nice weekend and enjoy! All the best, Ant

Ha yes it was great to get in early as it does become so crowded when it officially opens - the whooping and hollering of the sales staff pre opening was fascinating to listen to!! We had a press pass which was very cool as it meant we could film the vans without having to wait or film others. Thanks for the shout out - that was very kind of you! I can not help being impressed by the style of the Airstreams and would love to have one as a cabin in the north:) However, what I wonder about after seeing this movie is how life would have been for you if you had purchased a Warwick. The design is different than Florrie and I wonder how daily life would be with that one. Did you consider a model of the Warwick where you could open the rear doors? And when it comes to the Morelo I imagine the market is rather limited to winners of the national lottery and so on:) It was quite a contrast to see the van conversions after that:) I will enjoy the next part tomorrow, so hoping you are having a great week in England and are enjoying the autumn! Hi Ant. Yes it’s been quite a week. We only had two days at the show but it was absolutely exhausting 😃😃. Great fun though. The Morelo is a crazy van. We managed to get access to the show early yesterday so we were able to film inside and with a bit more detail. That’s on the latest vid. We have been discussing the Warwick (or similar van conversions) and how we would now convert from Florrie. In one way, Sue’s red lines have softened - eg the separate wc and shower but the problem would be how we would downsize all our “stuff” that we’ve now got in Florrie. We’ve basically lived up to the space we have and we would have to live back down again. I have a garage full of water containers \ chairs \ windbreaks etc that we would not be able to get in a van. We would have to transport these on the floor in the van and then store underneath when parked up. But we would definitely be able to adjust and the prospect of sitting on the coast with the back doors wide open is very attractive! In Winter maybe it would be more difficult as Florrie is really cosy. But like everything you just adjust and learn don’t you. I can’t see us changing our van for at least five years and a lot can happen in that time mate. You just have to enjoy every day until you can’t! Have a lovely weekend in the North.

👍 #16 Hi Dave and Sue, blimey the huge one at the start for £600K+. I can't imagine how awkward it would be to drive one around some of the single track lakes roads that I have to use to get from A to B. I'm super impressed at the luxury of some of the interiors on all of them really. I'm sure there are bits from one that you would love in another etc. I imagine you'd be able to negotiate different minor changes when the motorhome is in the build stage? All about the money! I would love to have one myself, just a small shitty thing would do lol. The fuel you guys must have bought.... OMG over £1K I'll bet. It must be great to be able to look around with the idea of possibly upgrading... I feel excited for you!!! Thank you as always my dear friends. 👍◕‿◕
@NBNatureTrailvan
@NBNatureTrailvan 7 күн бұрын
I don’t think we will be upgrading for a while Jane. Especially if the prices keep rising! It’s become crazy! With most of those vans there are standard builds and then you can add on accessories like awnings, wifi, BBQ points and air con. But that’s sort of it. So many vans are just exactly the same. They have to worry about the weights they build too. You have to have C1 on your licence for over 3.5T. So as those grandfather rights start to reduce as time goes by, the manufacturers are trying to find clever ways to reduce weight and maintain standards. We did spend a fair bit on fuel in Europe - but prices were generally cheaper than in the UK. Probably less Fuel Duty. Hopefully we’re off on another more local trip soon 🤞🤞🤞 Have a brilliant weekend and watch out for those stags!!

It was a real eye opener Anna. Prices seem to be still rising especially on the larger van conversions. We did a bit of film in the last one on the T6’s. What did you think of the red Bilbo’s van. The sort of thing you’re looking for?

@@NBNatureTrailvanWe have been on the lookout for a while for one vehicle rather than us pulling our small caravan, we would rather one instead of two vehicles ! The Bilbo celex that you looked in was lovely but if we went for a van like this we would only want an insulated pop top as I think I told you that we once had a Dandy caravan and it was lovely but was cold at certain times of the year ago and had heard that pop tops can be like that too. We were saying the other day that Alf may have to do his own conversion 👍

It was a pretty crazy day Soren. So many vans and the VW T6 conversions were cute and practical. We were going for a van last year but a dealer let us down 😨 Have a great weekend mate.

We met a nice Italian couple in Belgium with one of these. They also had a nice motorbike and a Porsche with them :) I didn't think they'd fit on a site but they managed to squeeze it in.

Yes I had never really heard of these but then one was trying to get out of a campsite we stayed on in Austria! Isn’t it amazing - they are serious bits of kit!! 😃. Imagine having a motorbike and a car in your garage 😃

Amazing to see all the different vans! That one for £647, 715 though 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ crazy! No matter how much money I had I couldn’t justify that 🤷🏼‍♀️ glad you had another brilliant day! 🥰

Interesting decisions, and yet Florrie seems to me to be the golden mean, right? Because the cheapest motorhomes look very small, even though the price is not much less than yours. And, of course, it was a good morning time to visit👍 Thank you, Dave.

That’s absolutely right Serge. Prices continue to rise to crazy levels and although we wished we had done this a few years earlier, it still seems to be a good value deal compared to others. Just wish we could afford the Morelo with its Porsche 911 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
