Sarah, I am really struggling to begin transforming my vaulted ceiling great room in my house built in the year 2000 into a traditional English country cottage style of design. My biggest roadblock is the vaulted ceilings. I am looking to make these changes on a small budget and with a DIY approach for the most part. I would love if one of your future videos could piggyback on a recent video you made about how to make your new home look more old and traditional by doing a video on problem solving making vaulted ceilings and great rooms look old, quaint, cozy, & traditional on a budget & with diy ideas too!! I’m desperate for help!!

I, also was cottage core my whole life.. and it did not have a name. "Everything cozy", lots of plants, their pots must be earthy tones and mood lighting, wood only furniture. "Earthy or moody tones. like jewel tones". Tapestry pillows, candles, think antique pieces-Not really vintage but antique. crafted well. , mix with farmhouse, rustic.. I only use mason jars as drinking glasses. FYI : The all white look is NOT cottage core at all-~~that is 'shabby chic'. That is very different from cottage core, but similar in antique decorating and cozy room feel.

A great Saint and Christian Feast day turned into cheap home decor…has nothing to do with romance but hey why not co-op a religious feast day and cheapen it? Ridiculous!

Ticking pillow 💡 I once created a throw pillow by cinching in the center with an appropriate ribbon tied in a bow thread with a long stem faux rose that was made from a script printed fabric (you could of course use whatever type greenery or floral). I believe I used it both vertically and horizontally on my day bed. Also, the waist style is called Empire. 🙂 Thanks!

Have you considered a Big Chill fridge? I have one in my 1940’s home and I love it. They have so many color options and they are more of a common size that fit our kitchens better than the Smegs… as cute as they are!! Oh, and I vote for the wall sink and faucets! I love those and would love to have one!

I have been collecting cotton coverlets such as you found and use them as table cloths for our family reunions or any of the outdoor parties we host throughout the summers! They cover folding tables beautifully and wash up so nicely! I do cut them to fit and a king size will make you 3 6ft long tablecloths. I have different styles and they really make a beautiful table scape with fresh cut flowers from our gardens and fields!

Your fabric might be cashmere. I once had a coat made in Seoul. The cashmere was very flat on the bolt. And I was skeptical. But they must steam it or treat it in some way. Because my cashmere coat came out soft and plush. So perfect. And “yes” to thrifting, clothes, any and all the things you do so well!

During prohibition distilleries made candy, preserves, and juices. That’s probably a Jack Daniel’s reproduction of their candy making during prohibition.

Oh my my my, that is the best haul I have seen you score so far I think! A beaker, are you kidding!? I never see those thrifting. Those are awesome finds. I am right with you as an avid thrifter. I also can't believe the cute clothes and other things you got at the bins. I have never gone because i assumed they would be just full of junk and damaged stuff. I need to look up where that one is. I have also had some sketchy situations of the masculine sort in thrift stores over the years. It's weird. I think it could be a pick up type of place for certain men of dubious intention. I have the Evergreen Fog in my bathroom and I love it so much. With that color you can add blues like navy would look beautiful as an accent color. I get so many great compliments on my bathroom color. It really makes it look like a larger room. Also, I have a classic refrigerator by Unique that’s about the same size as the Smeg. I wouldn’t recommend that fridge because it’s a back to the basics fridge, meaning you have to thaw it yourself and no ice maker. We are looking into the Big Chill refrigerator. They have a retro line and it’s not as tall as the Smeg. I hope this helps! Thanks for all you videos and giving me such great ideas for my own space. God Bless

I love thrifting! But I must admit my first trip to the bins was not fun. Thank you for this video. I learned a lot. And yes WEAR GLOVES!!! It is difficult finding stylish clothing over 50 Please do some clothing videos. Anyway, Love wool chairs definitely add decorative nail heads.

The leather shoelaces can be untwisted and replaced to be equally length. Those twisted ends are created not original designe.
