Bummer you had a bad experience, I've ridden quite a bit of Amtrak, did the Empire builder both directions around the same time you did it looks like (in coach). I didn't have any noteworthy negative experiences and enjoyed myself a lot more than I would have flying that distance or driving for days. And for the price it's a pretty good deal to boot. It also looks like you got the lame side of the train for the Empire builder. If you're on the north side of the train in both directions the view is so much better than on the south side. The views of the sound near Seattle and Glacier in the morning going east. Even the views of Minneapolis and the cities between such as they are, are better on the North side. Not to mention the heat from the sun being brutal on the South side. It's all luck with the roomettes but in coach you can move seats anytime they're open, which is pretty much from Spokane to Minneapolis. Doesn't seem like I'll catch ya on the train, but I'll wave at the good stealth spots as I ride by.

What's wrong with all the train managers, or whoever they are, on the speakers? Are they serious? 😃

hi...why do you have such low doors...small wheels that provide great support...and where do you have ventilation in the camper...3 cm of polystyrene foam for insulation will not be damaged and you won’t be able to supply it...with great care your subscriber to you... bye bye...

I could be wrong but the trailer wheels look way to small😊
man the way the staff speak to the passengers over the intercom is like you are prisoners. sounds like they think every passenger is a piece of shit lol

What the heck was with that lady over the Amtrak PA? She needs a vacation or a massive tranquilizer dart.

Thanks for doing this and sharing it. I love watching Steve. His life helps me. So many similar losses in my own life so I pray for Steve from a place of similar sadness and hope. I'm normally very outgoing, but I can't imagine trusting myself to meet Steve without being idiotic. You were all very brave.

So you expect your 250 watt bike to pull realistically 300+ pounds? Have you checked the specs? My 350w maxes out at 250 pounds total. Now let's address the wheels: dude, they are half the size they need to be. Stuff your bike will bump over will catch on the camper. 14 inch wheels, 16 is better. Corrugated plastic for the walls. That will cut the weight considerably. You can then add a couple of 100w solar panels, and the related system, allowing you to charge a spare batter on the go, or make your camp site more civilized.

Out of curiosity I looked at what it would cost me and my wife to take a bedroom Amtrak from our home in Louisiana to Seattle. It would literally cost 6800 dollars. Me and her could do a Caribbean vacation for that much and eat like royalty and see MUCH better views. I kinda always wanted to take a trip on Amtrak but for 7 grand and sassy attitude union workers talking shit to me like I am a child. Nah I’m good

Диаметр колёс маленький , тяжело идёт. Колёса нужно велосипедные , будет легче 😊 И приципное устройство нужно сделать ниже , на уровень оси заднего колеса . Удачи .

The major issue with it being unstable for steering is that the wheels were placed too far back on the trailer.
