First new digger i had was a F reg grey cab 2wd sitemaster, was the easiest 3cx to drive, not at all jerky and smooth , still had the rack and pinion slew.

Hi Keith, I've owned a lot of machines over the years, we currently run a fleet of nine diggers, three dumpers and a six wheel plant lorry, I still have a soft spot for the wheel digger but most of our work is on tracks, I did run several new JCB mini diggers but the reliability isn't there anymore unfortunately. Currently run takehuki, Volvo, Hitachi, sany and one modern JCB and two older jcbs. Regards steve

Hi Im the second owner to a 1986 none turbo full spec 3cx with 2400 on her it's a good machine although I wish it was a grey cab as you will no better steering lock easier hydraulics ect the improvements they made really enhanced that model of machine enjoyed vid 👍

Hi Nick, I agree. You can see where our tyres scrub on the front frame, I have wondered if I could retro fit a grey cab spool bank to this to make it lighter on the rear. Most of our work is on tracks unfortunately so will probably leave as is. Regards steve

oil cooling might not have been so good .......so probably more cost effective increase the tank size than sort out the issue ........also extra weight as you say ...........

Best of luck getting a new cab for that, at a price that is less than the value of the machine. I was quoted £850 for just a left door frame, no glass or locks.... I've given up, and just park the thing out of the prevailing wind..!

Guessing you have sold this again, literary just been on ebay looking at this case 580k and then came on here to check them out and your video was the first I clicked on. Pretty strange coincidence 😂
