@filming tractors and plant, that's a great digger you have there. I own a 1988 3CX black cab myself and it's the best purchase I've ever made. I can't wait to see what you do to this beauty. Meet your new subscriber.😉👍

Hi yes we've always thought this generation of 3cx's are the best ones they've made , there will be another video on this machine soon as we are in the process of sourcing a new cab frame thanks for subbing.

I’d say it’s a ex pole planting machine ? With the brackets on the top off jack legs for a fram up the back off cab ?

I could do with that JCB as we have loads of brambles around most of our fields.

Cant wait to see the project and maybe get some tips for my digger. How cure for it overheating on the road?
@filmingtractorsandplant99024 жыл бұрын
Hi regarding your question in our experience the usual culprit is the thermostat sticking shut u can remove it entirely if absolutely required but i would suggest just blowing out the rad and running a rad flush though it while changing the coolant this usually works but these machines are not the greatest on the roads unfortunately.

Greetings from Russia. It will also be very interesting to watch how you restore it. What are the problems with the availability of spare parts for old tractors in the store
@filmingtractorsandplant99024 жыл бұрын
Hi regarding your question the parts availability is quite good for these machines as they are still common and have decent interchangeability parts with newer machines but it will all be secondhand parts from breakers as that is the best value.

Hi, i have a 1990 3cx turbo, any ideas why it's blowing white smoke out of the exhaust(here's a video of it look after the first minute because in the first half of the video you can't see it : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnKylpR8n7inmZI ). There's not much smoke at idle but as i rev the engine higher there's more. It has new air filters and fuel filter, the turbo seems to be fine and it doesen't seem to burn any oil(the level stays the same) it also starts up very easily so compression should be ok. A lot of people have told me it could be fuel related, should i get the injectors serviced? Is there something that could be wrong with the fuel injection pump??
@filmingtractorsandplant99023 жыл бұрын
Hi there from your description it would seem that your problem is a faulty injector due wear or dirt in the fuel system I would have the injectors cleaned and refurbished first which should be a easy task as it requires no major dismantling and is much easier , cheaper and quicker than for the pump as that will need retiming after being refitted if that does not solve the issue then will be the pump but I would recommend doing the injectors first
@SavageTech3 жыл бұрын
@@filmingtractorsandplant9902 Thanks for the response, apart from that is there a chance it could be a headgasket issue? So basicaly the smoke would be steam? It seems very unlikely to me since you can see the smoke pretty much pulsing with rpms but i guess i'll find out after servicing the injectors. Also i forgot to mention at idle some times it sounds like it runs a bit rough so i think you are right about the injectors. By the way some people tell me the smoke is to be expected with an old machine but yours looks like it doesen't put out any, or at least any white smoke, i'm i right? Thanks a lot again for the response!
@filmingtractorsandplant99023 жыл бұрын
@@SavageTech hi yes if it was head gasket related it would over heat quickly and your coolant level would slowly drop the best way to test if it's a injector to fault would be start the machine then disconnect the fuel line from the pump to each injector one at a time whilst the other 3 are still connected it will run worse because one injector wont be working but if it stops smoking when a certain injector is disconnected then that should indicate if its a injector and the one that is faulty also yes most machines this age do smoke but not usually white
@SavageTech3 жыл бұрын
@@filmingtractorsandplant9902 Thanks a lot i will try that. It's safe to disconnect the injectors while running right? I mean there's no way i can cause any issues by doing that right?
