Thanks for the great video. The A/C in my wife's 2015 Enclave has stopped cooling. The dealership has worked on the A/C in the last few years, but I'd wager they didn't perform this specific repair for a known issue. It's good to know that I can easily do it myself if need be. I already have a set of manifold gauges, so I'll just need to purchase a vacuum pump from Harbor Freight and I can knock this job out if necessary. Parts will be less than $250 for genuine GM. I have a 2013 Gmc acadia, I live in texas where the heat is unbearable but I do need to occasionally ginout during the day, the Drivers side AC blows very cold and strong the passenger AC is still cool but not the same. Now the back is my issue it blows cool air during the mornings/ afternoon but during the day It blows warm air. I replaced the blend door actuator in the back and it worked for a day and a half very strong cool air throughout the car but it has now gone back to blowing the warm air, is there anything else that could be affecting the AC?

Cadillac Escalade 2019 (8L90 automatic transmission). What current kit of spare parts is needed for this repair? We're talking about part numbers - what to order. The automatic transmission temperature shows 20-30 degrees lower than the real one, after warming up the car it shows normally, but after a long period of parking shows wrong again. Cadillac Escalade 2019 (АКПП 8L90). Какой актуальный комплект запчастей нужен для данного ремонта? Речь об артикулах - что заказывать. Температуру АКПП показывает на 20-30 градусов ниже реальной, после прогрева авто показывает нормально, но после длительной стоянки все по новой.

@@TruckNerd I got the seal replaced using a backwards 19mm socket. I popped the new filter up inside and it is being held from falling out, but not firmly in place. Is it the job of the pan to apply "sealing pressure" to the filter? Thanks!
@TruckNerd
@TruckNerd 2 ай бұрын
@@wisconsinwoodsman1987 The pan will hold up the filter, but not cause a proper seal from the filter to the seal. It doesn’t fit super tight. The transmission will slip if not sealing properly.

@@TruckNerd So being a noob at replacing the filter seal, I bent the seal that came with the transmission filter kit. I did not want to buy another kit and a helpful parts guy assured me he had the Delco seal and that it could be shipped in one day to their store. Turns out there was ever so slight a difference in the diameter of the seal and the "Delco" one was too loose and since it had pulled out, the filter was just hanging there. I purchased the same transmission filter kit again just to get the seal. Got the SOB in and flush. Now the filter attaches and stays put. Pan is back on with 10 ft pounds and filled up to the cold mark after a quick idle and shifting through the gears.

@TruckNerd

I have yet to do an express with the 2.8, so I can’t say for sure. What is the mod you are referring to? I assume it’s a cooler temperature thermostat. I could see some benefit from a cooler running transmission, but in my experience the 8l90 is a pretty reliable transmission.

Not sure if you’ll see this but this is my situation. 2013 chevy traverse. Symptom: AC light blinks when trying to turn on AC. Front and read not blowing cold. Pulled a vacuum on the system and it held pressure for over an hour. To test for leaks. (This means no leaks right?) So then i refilled the system to spec and the compressor kicked on and ac was working but not as cold as i would like but cool enough. Rear AC vents not blowing cold air. Only front AC blowing cold. Stayed like this for an entire day and the next day the light was blinking again. What should i do now?

Do you have to vacuum out the line before putting Freon back in? How do you make sure there is no pressure in the lines?
@TruckNerd
@TruckNerd 5 ай бұрын
Yes a vacuum needs to be pulled before recharging. The best way to make sure no refrigerant is left in the lines is to have it “evacuated” or recovered. In this case the refrigerant had leaked out so when I cracked the lines loose there wasn’t a hiss indicating pressure was escaping.

You are right. Sounds like you got debris in the blower motor. On some models you can kind of reach your fingers in there & reach the stuff. Make sure the blower is not on or have a chance of coming on. Disconnect the battery if you have to. Another option is to remove the filter & use compressed air to blow out whatever is in there. If all else fails pull the blower motor.
