Not to undermine the viewpoint but to add to the conversation, they way I´ve learned to manifest comes from a place of the universe/god speaking to you by your desires (those that come from peace and inspiration). So the pitfall that you describe about manifesting, I believe would arise from a place of trying to manifest something you don´t actually want, but think you do (ego based stuff, or things fear and other people tell you that you want). Aditionaly, manifesting is not that much about thinking of getting something and it coming in the future (though it is a complicated subject), - in the way of manifesting I refer to - it is more about getting to an abundant and peaceful feeling of already having your needs and desires met in your present situation, while allowing/accepting your current circumstances to be as they are. Your desires presenting into physical reality would be more of a natural symptom of your abundant nature expressing itself towards your experience. (God/universe supporting you in each step of the way, as it does in the activities that inspire you)

Lol, my dark mind created a twist ending. After all is said and done the owl flies to its nest, where several eggs lay. The owl stares lovingly at them. Then looks down back at the squirrel and the many small chipmunks. "Do not worry my little angels, this winter, there will be plenty of food for us now." The little squirl stared up at her and bowed its head, on which a snowflake landed.

Your techniques and the way you show yourself actively plotting out a piece are truly phenomenal and extremely valuable advice for writers. But I find that your mic makes the videos really hard for me to listen to. It amplifies every little mouth sound, click, breath, etc which end up sounding and feeling like chalk on a blackboard. A decent pop filter might help reduce it as well as maybe projecting more outwardly/loudly towards the mic rather than speaking quietly/inwardly at the same volume as regular breath etc. I really want to listen to your stuff but even messing with the treble output on my pc doesn't make it tolerable for me and gdi because it's such valuable stuff. 😭

@@JoeWebb-TheStoryteller Can I.. Can I just..Can I just upload a small writing piece here!??? Edit1: Ooh yes I will!! The little brown owl peeked through the glass door. A dim yellow light lamp on the desk had made its living with dozens of papers and pens. Fairy lights hung perfectly behind the small post cards filled with pictures from graduation, girls’ night out, coffee dates and sunsets. The half-drunk coffee mug laid so comfortably beside the old radio which played classics of Beethoven. The case was reaching an end; the bulletin board which was once filled with so many suspects now had only two of them left. Finally, a bit of rest!! After a huge world war III on which shirt to wear for a goodnight sleep (though it was already past the night), the soft white cushions were used. An hour may have passed until there was noise from the room. A phone call. Hushed voice. High-pitched laughter. Call declined. The dim yellow light lamp was lit again, it flickered once. Radio turned on again. It screeched. The coffee mug was empty and chipped off. The coffee mug no longer rested beside the radio, its red shattered pieces shone bright. The bulletin board had two suspects, the victim section instead of having three blonde pictures of the dead ladies now held three photos; one from the graduation, one from the girls’ night out, and the other sunset photo. All had one thing in common, a lone brunette, blue-eyed woman had been encircled with red marker (which laid in the mountain of papers). Near the glass door was the dressing table. The mirror reflected the brunette, blue-eyed beauty. Beyond the room, the little brown owl had its eyes largely open, for it saw from the dimly lit room a man. A man with a smirk and a smear of blood on his face. This is a small writing exercise I tried out.. I saw u on linkedin sir, if u like my story/work please please accept my request there

Truth needs witnesses in order to be validated. Otherwise the swordsman's cut can be covered, hidden and denied.

You say something to someone clear enough, or show them in a story, doesn’t matter what they do to dismiss or deny it, they’ll always know it’s true

7:46 this explains why trying to tell criminals stuff in a story is really hard, stories are made to be fun, or change people, or both, i litterly have like a series of ideas just to change people, the sword thing shows why its really hard, its like trying to assassinate some1,but they know theyre see the gun or knife and they have armour on and protected by bodyguards in a fortress.

Your phenomenological approach to storytelling is refreshing. I hope to buy a set of your cards. They look thought provoking. 😊
@louislong33462 ай бұрын
Out of all hero and protagonist definition, I think yours is the most concise. A lot of young writers equate a super hero with a tragic past with "the hero", because heroism requires a degree of boldness to trangress a certain threshold, boundary, social dogma, to reach the ultimate truth and absolve the story world' blight. It is as if the hero must possess the quality of a fool. A prince who's willing to leave his lavish lifestyle and parents behind to go live as a hermit, could be seen as a hero/fool from the court's inner circle. A doctor who are willing to inject himself with a deadly pathogen to find the cure, could be perceived similarly. Sacrifice, imo, is the most important quality of a hero, someone who commits to their truth.

By the way, one of the oldest books in existence is a set of 448 states of being. It's called the I Ching. You might find it helpful in developing your cards.

@JoeWebb-TheStoryteller I'm glad you want to look into it. I recommend James DeKorne's website Gnostic Book of Changes. The little white rectangle near the top middle of his website pages is the menu with a key to hexagrams and all the hexagrams. He has compiled many translations to create a kind of concordance and added a very interesting jungian commentary of his own along with at least one corresponding quote for all 64 hexagrams and each of their 6 moving lines. Also, the 5 introductory chapters are a well written summary of what the I Ching is and how it's been used over time. 🧑🏽🏫

I don’t know if this is necessarily correct. The protagonist is supposed to gain new knowledge at the midpoint (middle of act 2 or end of Act 2A) and then undergo his darkest moment at the end of act 2 (or end of Act 2B). They only receive that final extra piece of information or realization of what they need to do at the beginning of Act 3 which leads to the climax.
@JoeWebb-TheStoryteller2 ай бұрын
There’s not really a correct way. The 3 act structure is not really associated with the hero’s journey, and so any interpretations of placements of events in this “recipe” are just personal preference.
