I love ya brother, but...HUH?? Can you help me understand this better. ALL stories have structure. If it doesn't, it's just a run on sentence....so to speak lol. HELP!!

That’s right, all stories are made and structured somehow. This here is the most prominent theory for how a story can be made. The theory is: ‘If we analyze stories, we can find rules and structures to use as recipes that I can follow to make my story.’ It’s one route to making a story, and it’s the most prominent for fiction writing. This set of ideas came about from the structuralists’ work, so it’s appropriately called the structuralist narrative theory.

@@davidpittman106I guess with an autobiography, you're not really "making stuff up" as with fiction. You're just telling a story, so the whole story-making bit is skipped. So, all you need to do is structure it in your own way, or follow an existing structure as a template of sorts, and tell the story in a way that captures why what's being told is significant and emotional.
