My husband, and I will be traveling from NYC for an extended stay in the Cotswold in 2025…. so this was such a delightful preview! I was also very happy to see the dogs in tow.

I stayed in Bourton on The Hill in August 2023 and stayed at The Horse & Groom. It's a wonderful pub, great food and the staff were soooo friendly! One of the guys behind the bar even offered me a lift to the station in Moreton. Very gorgeous small village with wonderful views. The only drawback for me was as I didn't have a car I found the transport very frustrating! Buses didn't come often and sometimes wouldn't turn up. Taxis were pretty much non existent in the area. And dragging a suitcase up that hill was a nightmare 😂

I’ve got to wonder. At one time, droves of people may have left the Cotswolds to go to the “big city”. Now, people would love to do the opposite.

the scenery is beautiful! i live in las vegas, nv and its one of the ugliest places to live! hot, dusty, crowded, cost of living out the window, planted trees and grass, concrete jungle! i work and go home! thank you for showing me that there IS, a real and gorgeous world out there!😊

Very good video and probably worth mentioning that the lovely grounds of Bourton House are open to the public for a fee and that the great barn has within it a charming cafe.

Missed a very notable attraction: the gardens of Bourton House. Beautifully presented with a good tea shop available for drinks and cakes. Jams also sold there made from fruit from the garden.

The gardens at Bourton House are open during the warmer months, and well worth a visit.

Lovely video. My family have ancestors that lived here and at Blockley. Beautiful area. The church is remarkably simple and peaceful considering its location next to the busy road.

A very Happy New Year to you & your loved ones! But you pick a very cold day to film your bit & wear no HAT! What's up with that, Robin? I hardly recognize you with out a hat on your head. Incognito, sir?? Well, not with those adorable doggies in tow. Best wishes for 2025 from Kathleen in California

Sweet village and lovely church. But the A44 running straight through there would scare the bejeebies out of me! I can't imagine having to walk on it rather than a sidewalk.

I am from Ontario, Canada, and just recently learned that one of my great-grandmothers was born in Chipping Sodbury, and her family on both sides were from this town and others in Gloucestershire; for how many generations I do not know. She emigrated to Canada with her family when she was just a baby in 1850. Thank you for this thoughtful introduction to Chipping Sodbury. It is a lovely place. I hope to visit some day.
