If you read the rules there's a one book per series and two books per author limit so I guess GR took the top two McFadden 2024 titles? They also say in the rules this year that the audiobook category uses data from Audible so it's clearly a cross promotion category.

Do you think I could read The Late Mrs Willoughby as a standalone? Because my library doesn't have the first book in the series...
@leandrathetbrzeroКүн бұрын
I would say you can read book 2 as a standalone, but it does spoil book 1 for you. If you are okay with that, then feel free to read it! It really is the best one in the series so far, so I wouldn't let the lack of access to book 1 stop you ❤

As a primarily fantasy reader, I love to see that 7 out of your top 8 books were speculative! (and that the 8th one is The Late Mrs. Willoughby)😁 Waitwaitwait, there's gonna be a 4th book in that series?! 😲How have I not been aware of this?!! (runs off to add it to my TBR immediately) I didn't really like the third book in the series - it didn't work as a mystery nor as romance for me 😔 (and it was my most anticipated read of this year) and felt quite disappointed for it to be a trilogy ender 🥺 But if there's gonna be a forth book 🤩My hope for a better ending has been restored! Btw, have you ever tried A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird trilogy) by the same author? 👀 I am not really a sci-fi reader, but that trilogy's sci-fi elements I have enjoyed a lot. Until I read that trilogy I wasn't aware that multiverse hopping can be such a fun trope ☺

Oh my gosh, I love the new color scheme and the scrapbook style. 😍 It looks so different from your previous one and it's making me want to try out some new stuff as well. I usually first go in with a pencil, and by the time I have to go over it with color I can't bother to do it all over again so I just give up. Which sucks since I started to many but never finish any of them. I'll just have to try going for the color first and then I could just rip off or tape some colored paper over it. 🤔 I also have some of the cheaper washi that doesn't stick as well. I was attempting the same boarder around the page like you but when I saw it didn't hold very well I used my Double-Sided Adhesive Tape, looks like the Corection Tape, in couple of spots but mostly on the corners and it worked pretty good so I'd recommend trying that instead of having to by new washi. ☺

@@Aimzthereader I did! But that one ended up really disappointing me in the last 100 pages or so. I find infidelity as a plot device to be very frustrating. Wow, your cover page is so pretty! I use a premade tracker journal, but I keep considering doing a more journal-style book for my next one. I really should also track the books I buy each year. I feel like sometimes I go a little over the top. Good washi tape is meant to be low tack. I use it for painting because it won't tear the paper when I pull it off. I would tack it down with a little glue if you want it to be permanent. Love the spreads and info tracking!
