I also really enjoy it when someone dies in the beginning of a book. It quickens the pace and makes it more dramatic! Glad to hear you discuss the substance abuse and how it sometimes can be brushed over. I want authors to tackle that topic, but it needs to be addressed and not just thrown in. Victoria made it in your vlog! I love that!

This was so much fun! And yes, lol, I tend to look at the times I read several books in a week and overestimate just how much I can get read.

Great vlog! I love how you explained the specific horror tropes in each book. I didn’t know the terms as someone who doesn’t read horror as often. So it was helpful to learn! I loved both Bury Your Gays and The Z Word.

I loved this! I haven't read any of these, I will have to add them to my list to try. Camp horror sounds so fun.

I've seen so many great reviews for Bury Your Gays, looking forward to reading it very soon! I've always been a little curious about Cackle because of the witchy vibes, but based on your review I really don't think it would be for me, and that's ok! Thanks for reviewing and saving me the trouble haha

@@leandrathetbrzero I wouldn't say it's a weak point, just that you don't do it as often as other stuff. Plus, you improve by doing it, so I'm sure you will get more comfortable as you keep trying. ❤

I loved your take on these! I finished Bury Your Gays recently and adored it. Apparently I gave Cackle 4 stars last year but now I want to read it again to see if I feel the same. I have The Z Word tagged on Libby, my library doesn't have a copy yet but hopefully will soon.

Truly it makes sense why there is so much well-earned hype surrounding Bury Your Gays! And I think the timing of Cackle may be to blame because I am also not averse to rereading it in later years? I would be interested to hear your thoughts on Z Word!
