The Genshin update definitely contributed to me getting behind on my projects. Finally sat down to work on my cardigan sleeves. Sleeves always feel like they take forever. Had a dream a few weeks ago about my roommate and I getting another cat. Which happened to be orange and named Chedddar.

I am currently making a mom sweater as well!!! Just with my own colour scheme (army green, teal, brown, beige, off white, a dark greyish purple and pastel yellow. The army green is the main colour and I'm using scrap yarn for this :D) I decided to do the knitted part of the sweater with a linked double crochet and so far I am loving how it's looking!!! I will at some point make the original red design as well, just with REALLY muted colours since I do not wear colours in that intensity. So it's probably gonna be more of a wine red for the main colour. maybe I'll use a different stitchtype for the knitted parts then!! :D Maybe I'll even finally start knitting? Who knows haha I'kll probably do tunisian knit stitch for the knitted part. I know myself too well lmao

Ohh that sounds like it's going to be all of the cozy fall vibes, with that colour scheme! I love it :D It sounds like a great replacement for the knit stitch, too! it is a *very* bright jumper in the original colours, I agree, so a muted original version would look fantastic! :)

@@Shaiyeh Yeah!! :D The green version is made from 100% worsted weight cotton so it's perfect for the fall season!! I'm hoping to make the muted original version from merino wool so it's warm and cosy!!

Oh I also figured out a way to maybe make the knit + crochet combo with the same yarn work: just size up your hook for the granny squares to make them more airy and a thinner fabric!! That way the fabric will be a lot closer to the knit in behavior AND the squares end up bigger as well!!

ive done a similar buuut used the squares for a blanky and its very earthtoned with highlighted bright flowers but the background color is a muddy greyish brown xD

I have never seen this method of cross stitching onto fabric like with pulling the canvas apart at the end? I need to try this!! I have some pastel embroidery floss I've been wanting to use for something whimsical! I love the skirt you made too it is so autumn-y. I am working on a Moonflower Pullover that I'm freestyling to try and make a sweater dress but I have a feeling I have messed up my increase rate 🙊

It's super clever! There's also water soluble waste canvas now (like, completely soluble), which is probably even more convenient :) Definitely go for it! 🤩 Thank you! Moonflower sweater dress sounds like it's going to be so beautiful, and cozy! but ahh, no! Add in a lifeline, so you can easily rip back if you need to without frogging the whole thing ❤️

first of all !good job in finishing them all =D i mostly like ur hoodie and the way u crosstich something onto it girrrl u giving me ideaaaas....xD and for myself i recently picked up knitting ! and whats best way to learn a new craft? correct! designing writing ur own pattern and knit up a huge textured blanket xD ! 12 rows in so far <3 (thanks to my mom gifting me a fancy interchangeable set of needles)

I was having breakfast while watching, but on the couch across from me, there is a bag with a sweater I started last year when I was teaching one of my yarn group ladies how to make a sweater. She finished hers, but I am still working on mine. It's a striped, top-down cardigan in dark red, charcoal grey, and grey. I'll be adding the ribbing in black. I want to finish already! But school and homework have been taking over a lot of my free time.

While watching this video I am knitting my first sweater using lesbian pride yarn from Big twist lol. the yarn is actually very soft! I am not using a pattern but im just knitting it in panels so I dont really feel like i need one, maybe i will regret that decision but thats a future me's problem

Ohh, nice! How is it working up? I've seen mixed reviews on the colour repeats. We don't have the pride yarns here (or any big twist afaik), otherwise I'd have loved to try them out myself! :D For a sweater you can totally get away with just doing panels. You might want to bind some stitches off for a neckline, but otherwise you're fine! . I made a video earlier this year recreating a fast fashion sweater by knitting in panels, it has some rough guidelines on the shaping :)
