I would just like to point out that it's February and therefore black history month. The contributions to American culture from our Black community are absolutely immense. America wouldn't be recognizable or anyplace I would want to live without those contributions. From the medical field, science, technology, agriculture, engineering, aviation, military, music, cuisine, athletics, sports medicine, fashion, public safety, politics, religion, architecture, construction, education, journalism, law, and so many more fields have been extremely impacted and some even invented by African Americans. They are a very important and undeniably beautiful part of America. When I think about what it means to be an American, a huge part of that is directly due to the contributions of black culture. So thank you. You make up roughly 14 percent of the population, yet you contribute so much more. You are the heart and soul of this country and you are appreciated and loved. Happy Black History month!!!
