I normally don't but just recently I read that you can put some oats in with them. I now mix some oat meal in with the sawdust. If that makes them happy I will never know. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Time for another ice quality report? Single digit temps over the next few nights! I just found your KZbin channel and am happy to think we might be seeing fishable conditions.
@LENFFISHING13 күн бұрын
Hello. I did check Marsh Creek and Struble today but with the snow on the ice it is hard to tell what the current conditions are. I did see a few people out on Struble. The storm thats coming tomorrow will not help at all. I hope the wind kicks up and blows the new snow off. Anyway, yes I will be out on Thursday and then the weekend too. Stay safe!

Well now is the time. Perhaps you should just dress warm and take a walk out the lake and see what folks are doing. It would be best to walk on the ice where others are walking. Just remember there is no safe ice just good ice. Be careful if you do.

I will be getting out next week and do some video. I'm just waiting for the ice to get a little thicker. There are people out on some of the local lakes now but I will wait for the cold temps coming next week. Good to see your still kicking Ed!

@LENFFISHING5 ай бұрын
A total of 48 inches when the door is down. There are other models that may give you a little more length so you should check them out online. Most will show you the length and depth. Just add those two dimensions together to get what you're looking for. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

which style of sinker do you find works the best ? Nice info
@LENFFISHING7 ай бұрын
I have had success with all types but the flat round river sinker seems to be the best. The Pyramid sinkers sometimes will get hung up in between branches in brush piles because of the big head on them. Also, I try to use 3 ounce ones which seem heavy enough to dislodge most lures. Good luck with them and thanks for watching and commenting.

You get them anywhere on the lake
@LENFFISHING8 ай бұрын
It all depends what the time of season is. They are usually relating to structure. Wood, deep points that hold some weeds and even suspended of the bottom in deeper waters. The bigger slabs are harder to find but in the spring and early summer check out the trees that have fallen in the water and sometimes around the poles that were put in various places. Thanks for commenting.

its crazy i commercial fish for catfish so ya i end up killing a lot of fish but its for food for people around here i sell to a local market. but when i go fishing with a pole i never really keep fish. besides when im getting the bait for trotlines for commercial catfishing but usually its skipjacks.. a couple months bluegills when the skipjacks arent biting. i also never felt the urge to ever travel to fish really. no matter where you live there is local places to fish.
@LENFFISHING9 ай бұрын
Hello, it sounds like you're apologizing for being a commercial fisherman. You're making a living doing what you love. Also, you are fortunate to have good fishing opportunities close by so you don't have to travel. Keep enjoying the sport. No one is required to be in all the stages that I talked about.
