I have a question. What's in it for Kazuma? At this point of putting up with his version of the Three Stooges? What does he get out of it? Kazuma's situation has been challenging, as he's been encountering a regular of dealing with the aftermath of his companions' actions. Since he arrived in the new world, he has faced a continuous stream of problems, primarily due to the debts incurred from the damages caused by his party. His companions, often seen as incompetent, seem to excel only in creating chaos, which invariably leads to Kazuma's suffering. Without Kazuma around, they would likely face dire consequences such as starvation, imprisonment, execution, or worse. I understand that Kazuma has expressed a fondness for his companions, forged through their shared adventures and the bond of friendship. However, there are moments when their behavior is unbearable, and he feels more like a babysitter than a friend. The question arises: what have they contributed to Kazuma's well-being in return for his numerous sacrifices? They owe him a great deal for all he has endured on their behalf, including multiple instances where his life was adversely affected.

I liked Mystery Incorporated. I like the plot, the setting, the comedy. I think It is good. But there are also lots of things I don't like. I hate that they turned Velma into a bully who treats everyone around her as stupid. It is a common cliche and character trop for intelligent characters to treat those around them poorly, but the original Velma was kind and passionate and intelligent. I hate that the gang didn't seem like true friends. They were always fighting, and it never felt like their friendship was some strong, familiarly bond. Even Scoob barely spent time with the others beyond Shaggy and it never felt like he would spend time with any of them( Fred being the one exception because he clearly valued each of them extremely highly. I hated the relationship drama. I look at the live action movies and I feel like the character dynamics were done well. Fred and Daphne fight because Daphne doesn't feel independent and valued. Velma feels isolated from the others because she also doesn't feel valued. Fred's position as leader and his dense personality led him to being overbearing on the others and taking them for granted. And shaggy and scooby just loved their friends. The key was communication. MI feels like a CW show, which slaps you across the face each episode with poorly constructed character drama that keeps getting dragged out in an otherwise wonderful story. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying it wasn't done well in this version. And Daphne. What did they do to her? Strong, dependable Daphne who in some iiterations can make anything on the fly to help her friends and is fantastic in last minute decision making is reduced to... "I want to date Fred but will never tell him how I feel and I will be mad he can't read my mind". This is clearly Scooby Doo made for a different audience, and one of the marvelous things about this franchise is it can change and evolve like this. It can have mature ideas and themes!I love that it is a show that inspires people in that way, that it creates such a creative backdrop to a variety of stories. But to me, it will not be something I go back to. I'm glad I watched it, I'm glad it exists. But I personally think if MI was the first of the franchise, there would be no franchise. It is simply not as iconic and timeless as the original, other iterations, or even some of the movies. Perhapes that is because it was such a strong identity( which is a sign of good writing, design, and creativity). Of course, these are all my thoughts as someone who grew up on What's New. Scooby Doo was my safe place, full of joy and love and companionship that was uncomplicated and simple. It filled a void for a kid whose relationships were anything but. It all just dependson perspective, but I think MI is just....okay

I wouldn't call Kazuma Devoid of kindness as Much as a Total Jerk. The Guy has his moments but its overshadowed by the rest of his crappy personality, not that he's entirely Unjustified in acting that way. If I was in his Place I would have gone Bald from pulling my Hair out.

In the show Mad Men, there was a character named Pete Campbell, who I think represented what we would look like if we tried to look like Don Draper. Similarly, I feel Dermott represents what happens when you try to be like Brock.

Personally I thought Mystery Incorporated was a pile of garbage written by people who only had a vague idea of how to write a mystery, dialog, twists or a series spanning arc. And I also hate how they treated Scrappy-Doo as nothing more than an embarrassment that is not to be mentioned again.

The monarch bit is actually something I dislike about him. He's capable of very little on his own it seems. Had to ride off the money of his parents, Dr Gf is definitely the smarter of the two, and then depended on 21 for pretty much everything and shows no regards to how it effects him. Idk his incompetence was never appealing like doctor ventures was.

Hated it.

Original will always be the best. Mystery incorporated is mid compared to it.

My favorite series is actually "The new scooby doo movies" but i do really like mystery incorporated. It would probably be my favorite if Velma wasn't so annoying to shaggy all the time. It's like shaggy couldnt escape her. Velma in this series ruined it for me.
