This song reminds me of the "corporate" club The Channel!

Just coming across this now, but I love the set design here. Projecting the names of the guests and chapter titles and such on the desk is a nice touch, as well as the overall monochromatic look and the analog tape recorder. Hope this channel still uses these motifs!

theres a band called no trend that is like flipper, a little jazzier, a little faster (they're a dc band) but just as nihilistic.

It's me introducing the program and it was also me writing the questions. I didn't want to do the interview myself because Jang and I were (and still are) friends, and in my youthful naivety I thought it would be unprofessional to interview a personal friend :D

That same interviewer was in that NWR documentary years later praising him and trashing the Danish film industry for not respecting him as much as the other filmmakers.

I finally got how you pronunce his name and “Jang” in Danish Also it’s weird how A is pronounced E yet the E in Refn is pronounced A

I went to New Orleans to see The Garden yesterday night and Flipper opened for them and I swear to god I had never heard of them before which is SO surprising considering how much I love 80s/90s alt. Anyways though they opened with this song and I fucking fell in love like they are so damn entertaining. Dude was crowd surfing and humping the mic stand and just fucking rocking out. He pulled out a slide whistle for one of his songs and bro he was so funny. Even Security was laughing at his goofy ass climbing in and out from the crowd. He got a hold of the set list and folded it into a paper airplane and threw it into the crowd. I was blowing kisses at him and giving him heart hands AND HE WOULD DO THEM BACK and I got to touch his arm! Such a weird thing to say hahaha but it was so fucking cool he would swing the mic around and do all this crazy shit like he threw it into the crowd at one point. This girl gave him her phone and asked to video for her and he stuffed it in his pocket 😂. After like 2 minutes he took the phone out and zoomed in on all the band members making goofy faces and shoved the phone up his shirt to show his belly this dude was so fucking awesome and he’s like, my dads age!!! and he said we were the best audience he’d ever had it was such a magical experience and I can’t shut the fuck up about it that concert was amazing. Looked him up after the concert and drove all the way home listening to sex bomb baby with my best friend!!! What cool people omg.
