I wonder if they find out who's buying and if its an "Infuencer" they buy it and dispatch it at a loss from amazon and put their own packaging on in order to scam people for false advertising? Maybe I'm giving them too much credit ? Maybe the shipment was stolen and sold by a company and then sold for less ? That's happened before.

I saw first hands on reviews on the harbor set three weeks ago and on the crane 12 days ago both in Germany. And the parts on the harbor set were also in paper bags.

The harbour set is a fake. Lego QC doesn't allow for production marks. On the 6x10 plate 4:23 there is are points on the 3,4 strut. (From top left and bottom right)
@tomkingston420310 сағат бұрын
All these gray market sets will basically have minor defects to them. If it doesn’t pass QC Lego will want to throw it away, factory workers just take the defective ones and sell them. That’s what we have here. It’s real Lego at the end of the day still. You’ll be surprised on how much gray market defective stuff gets sold for bargain prices. You can find everything from clothing to tech which doesn’t pass QC because of a scratch being sold at a heavy discount.

The TLG started by stealing the blueprints of a Kiddicraft plastic molding machine, then manipulating with patents, and the first Lego sets were complete copies of Kiddicraft sets, right down to the instructions. So, I wouldn't use the terms fake or not fake Lego. Some Chinese sets are far superior in quality and design to Lego sets and cost three times less.

I understand LEGO is hugely expensive and often overpriced for a lot of consumers but I don’t believe Temu is the way to go when purchasing sets. It’s a dodgy Chinese company and there’s no trace to where these sets came from.

tf you talking? you think China has no Lego? lmao
@MasterK687Күн бұрын
@@rnt__ of course China has LEGO but how are Temu selling it for such a low price?
@rnt__Күн бұрын
@@MasterK687 Lego is cheap to make. A 100 dollar set costs like 8 bucks to produce. They must be buying on huge bulks and probably are not very popular on Asia, so they sell em anythere else.
@MasterK687Күн бұрын
@@rnt__ Every legitimate company that sells LEGO anywhere in the world will buy in bulk so they have enough supply. There is no way LEGO would sell bulk sets to Temu a month early knowing they would charge 40% off day one with no guarantee that even box quality will be maintained. I suspect these LEGO sets were stolen.

To be honest, I have worked in production faciliites, and it appears these are probably items that were damaged on the production line at some point. Most likely they are set aside so that they can be reboxed or repackeged. This is where they most likely are "removed" from the warehouse. Usually, you try not to send anything less than perfect to the stores.
@TheBrickQuest3 күн бұрын
That makes perfect sense! Thanks for the feedback!
@Niewiem63013 күн бұрын
I dont think this is the case considering the boxes that are here in poland are like 15% damaged
@PatrickBrown-dc4zt2 күн бұрын
@@Niewiem6301 True, but here in America, people won't purchase a damaged box unless they get a discount on it. It is a bit stupid, but it is the way a lot of people are. If the boxes were slated for certain markets they might not care about the damage, but for others it is an issue.
