hi my crank pulley bolt on my w210 e300 came undone and broke the key in half. theres still the half left in the cam chain and iul pump drive sprocket and i was wondering if i could pin the pulley and the sprocket if not it means i gotta drop the sump to get at the sprocket and thats a big deal for me. even drilling the pulley ,sprocket and crank is a big deal but it seems less of a drag.

thank you thank you. sooooooo it appears my worry (just swapped out one OM617 for another in a Jeep.. mayyyyyy be getting enough pressure. (Jeep sender on the turbo feed line) Ive not run it yet.. only spun the engine with starter.. and oil pressure barely blips the needle.with starter

Depending on what engine it is in it sounds like you had too much oil pressure. Those turbos are only rated for about 50 psi continuous

@BenzForce why? It seems like a great product. I have one on my swap, I havent really gotten around to using it, but I was actually able to use it with long exhaust studs and a spacer so that I could fit an HX30W non intercooled. (I have a stock pump with Alda delete)

How would the he200wg 7cm compare to the HE221W 7cm? I can see compressor and turbine are smaller on the 200wg but is the compressor housing 7cm the exact same size are the 221w 7cm? Would the 200wg 7cm fall somewhere between the 221w 6cm & 7cm? Thank you sir.

That turbo was never used on the engine, it was just to show a customer how it fit without modification. The engine went into the dyno car and there is a write up about it but after multiple failures due to the transmission adapter, the engine was pulled and given away. There is no desire to revisit the om617. We are moving on to the om606 which should be done getting machined next week.

Its an OEM turbo. We dont make it, we make the parts that make it usable in our market.

If i want to clock my HE221W in a different position, is it ok to cut off the pins?

yes ... but .. you will need a way to hold the wastegate in its proper place. Before you tear it apart to remove the pins, look at where the actuator is on the turbine housing to make sure that the bracket wont interfere with the needed compressor outlet or drain. That video was made a while back so I'm not sure, but probably a 7cm turbine housing. All the Holset turbos I sell, except the HE400, have a 79mm vband connection, even the HE200/HE221 with the 4 bolt flange I sell

That is a human that lives in California. I wrote the scripts for her. I thought it might be nice to hear something other than my voice on these things but the problem is my wife or any other "voice talent" doesnt sound as natural because they dont know the lingo. She's real though and was hired for the 617 videos ... maybe its not a fit. Thanks for the feedback.

You Should definitely sell a kit with feed line drains lines with both oil pan hose and turbo hose barb, would have made it so much easier when I put my hx30 on my 617

Hey mate wat size studs/ thread size is on the turbo exhaust housing (8x1.25?)on he221 and what size restrictor for the oil feed should I run?

Yes the t25 side is m8x1.25. On the om617 a 1.68mm restrictor is what was calculated. Math is in the product page

those are some nice builds. i think the 5-cylinder is a good fit for a smaller truck. still plenty of power. the OBS looks great all around. would look great next to our 99 7.3 powerstroke.

sounds like you are meaning more of a transmission adapter. For that you could check out Speed Gems. I *think* they have something. Then for the 300SD, you can use one of these on the diff, throw away that MB center bearing and use a U-Joint style driveshaft. On swaps if you have a lot of power or things are not 100% in alignment, those MB driveshaft center bearings and flex discs just dont last long.

Hello, i've read that there are he221w 4cm turbos from isf 2.8 , is this true? Is it good for a 2.5 tdi inline 5? Current oem turbo is a kkk14. Or is the 5.5cm the smallest version and the other is fake? Thanks.

There are so many variations of all of these turbos because they are oem applications. I do not know if there was a 4mm or not and I only carry versions the Mercedes community seems to be interested in

I have a 1972 W115. I want to put the OM617 in it. Right now the OM617 does not have a turbo on it. What is the best way to add a turbo to the on617 along with an intercooler and still fit in the w115?

You better believe it. Bump up the fuel to 90-120cc the EGTs will go through the roof under hard acceleration. The dyno car spikes over 1600F with a pump and stock turbo. That is not sustainable and lowering intake temps help.
