I replaced my Pajero’s suspension as Ironman too but had a problem after few months. Inside side of Rear tyre of car wore out. I think need camber adjustment. Did you have same problem?

😬 The moment I saw you take the valve body off made be cringe. Been there and done that. Its probably going to cause you more issues now thats come off unless it all goes back exactly as its meant too.

@@crustyoverlanding this imperticuler model was the last model to feature [4wd] after 2000 going into 2001 Mitsubishi went [Awd]. The 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport is a literal gemstone, a lot of people are looking for this year of the montero sport. It came with a E-Locker in the rear and limited Slip-Differetial in the front. It has the Manual Transfer Case with Rwd, 4-Lo and 4-Hi. It's actually better than most stock jeeps out there today, there is a lot of science in this specific year and model of the montero family just like the Pajero... The Montero sport has many nicknames but there are 2 that most know it by... The Challenger and The Shogun, engine and performance upgrades are actually pretty hard to come by for the 2000 Montero sport. I've looked at 100s of online sites for performance upgrades and engine upgrades and it's turning into a very long process. I wasn't expecting you to know much but hey bro thanks anyway, I just enjoyed watching yall rebuild that engine haha. Stay true and thanks for at least responding

Hey it seems I’m following your foot steps kind of- selling my trooper and I MAYBE getting a montero…. Are the stock montero wheels Hub centric? Did you need to buy the aluminum spacers? I’m wondering if my 2000 trooper wheels can potentially fit on 2003 montero limited? They have same bolt pattern… don’t want to worry about stupid spacers

Hey man I’m interested in a 1998 trooper 3.5L V6 AWD I test drove it and there was nothing wrong I saw no lights pop up brand new battery , tires were in good shape ,the interior was in good condition they outside was in good shape no rust,couple little scratches that aren’t noticeable, well because it has 138,000 on the odometer but it’s really clean man but the only problem I saw was the front window being taped around shut , is it easy to fix the window? And also how is the car on gas now that gas is 3 dollars now? The guy wants $3,000 bucks is this a good price? He also is a Vietnamese guy selling it for his mom and these cars were popular back in the day for them.
@crustyoverlanding
@crustyoverlanding Жыл бұрын
So I’ll tell you now. The transmission in that rig is absolutely garbage. If it’s working than hallelujah but around 150k is where the tranny starts having problems and NOBODY wants to fix them. They are absolutely terrible 4 speed transmissions. Not sure about the window, never had to replace any of that. I spent a year trying to get my transmission to work and no success so I got rid of it. I’ll tell you now if the tranny goes out on you than you won’t get more than $600 for it with a dead tranny. So hopefully it’s got lots of life in it 😁

Your rig looks great.. I use the same Ironman lift kit plus 2 inch lift plates under the struts and rear coils but my axles specially at the front are getting too much stress from this lift. I also use a 2 inch front ball joint lift blocks but its barely making it. So far the only problem I have is with my cv boots that get rip. I believe there is a transfer case lowering kit but I haven't had any luck locating them. Do you have the same angle issues to the point where your cvs are probably getting rip every time?
@crustyoverlanding
@crustyoverlanding Жыл бұрын
So since I only have the 1.5” Ironman heavy loaded lift my CV angle didn’t change to much even with the 33s that I have on. So far I haven’t had any problems at all and no worries either. I think the coolest part is I towed a 5 thousand pound trailer and the back end didn’t even sag an inch! Blew my mind how good this suspension is

Hey, I remember seeing your first sets of video, regarding the montero, is it really safe to water wade since the gear actuators , solenoids, and tire rpm sensors are all prone to being submerged, what did you do to protect them?
