Hello. I have found the following: How do you get rid of lichenification? Overall, the outlook is good and the condition is often temporary. Research suggests that lichenification can be treated quickly and effectively with a topical fluticasone propionate ointment. Treating the underlying cause may be necessary to prevent future recurrences.

Are you referring to a 70% solution? That can easily be diluted into any % that you wish and is basically a Standard "pure" purchase. Other than that it is a crystal and that should NOT ever be touched by someone and turned into a serum. It requires a very precise hand and engineer to formulate from this matter. I do not suggest the 70% even for your skin tone. You need to start with a 30% and work up from there. Use a melanin inhibitor as well like our Fade Bright or hydroquinone to condition the skin and help prevent PIH when using acids.

If i dont use Fade Bright for pre treatment but i use tretinoin is it the same ?? Also if i use Fade Bright can i use my tretinoin the same time? I wanna do a tca 13% cause i did professionally a 50% one and got hyperpigmentation. SO i wanna fade that now. That happened 7 weeks ago. On my own i did 25% before and i only got a small bit of pigmentation so i think 13% is what ii need. I never prepped for my peeling. I didnt know my skin type but i definitely know now. ( im talking about my back cause i had acne and 2 tca 25% peels cleared me good so now with 50% was better but left with hyperpigmentation) Thanks 😊
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 7 күн бұрын
Tretinoin is a retinoid - Fade Bright is used for its melanin inhibition properties with the Alpha Arbutin. They are not the same. Alpha Arbutin or Hydroquinone can be used to help prevent PIH after stronger peels like TCA or Jessners. They are to be used for 4 weeks prior to a peel. Mandatory if you have Olive or darker skin or are prone to PIH. Always a good idea for anyone else. Fade Bright and Tretinoin can indeed be used at the same time. That was far far too high a % of TCA to use. I am not the least bit surprised that you are dealing with PIH. I am shocked that someone "professional" would start you off with a peel of That Strength. I would be very angry if I were you. The 25% you did on your own was Too Strong as well. Never start with a strength like that - at home. Always begin with something lower and apply layers. Layers make this a much much safer peel. 13 is a great place to begin your journey. I am glad you had a change of heart here. I would state though .. since you have pigmentation .. and that is your Goal ... I would suggest the Jessners acid instead of TCA. It is better at removing pigmentation. But ... if you have the TCA - use that. #1 patience is KEY. Peels are NOT meant to be a 1x Event. They are meant to be progressive and done in a Series of 6-8 in a row. Start slow and mild. Add on No More Than 1 extra layer each time you do the peel *if you wish.

@PlatinumSkinCare what a great detailed answer thank you so much for that. I was actually looking into tca because I know the peeling it causes and in a Month is my holidays so I had high hopes 😪 does jessners cause the same kind peeling effect?? Is fade bright necessary for that as well ?? I wish I could do something that I don't need the fade bright. I've done a mandelic peel 40% for now it looks the safest. Maybe I could do that twice per week ?? Since it's on my back ?

@@maR-96 You are currently dealing with PIH. Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. That was Caused because too-strong of an acid was applied. It caused a great deal of inflammation ... and what is left behind? Pigmentation that is Very Tough to remove. The most important thing for you IS your daily treatment Melanin inhibitor. Peels can cause MORE pigmentation. You must be very very careful moving forward since you know you are already Prone. Use your inhibitor 1-2x per day every day. SPF 50 every day. Shade your skin with a hat or clothing. That is your main plan here. In a couple of Months... when you see the skin lightening .. then you can look into a milder peel. Maybe a 2 layer Jessners.

@PlatinumSkinCare

Hello. Mandelic is a milder peel. It can be used 1x every 7-10 days. Don't expect frosting at all. This is not TCA. :) Expect a mild tingle. Start with 5 minutes and add on a few more each time you do the peel ... as you wish. You may get a bit dry and could see a flake or two .. but Not anything excessive. This is a mild, cumulative peel. Do 8 in a row and don't forget to take photos! Just because there isn't a lot of downtime - doesn't mean there aren't great results! @PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 7 күн бұрын
@@MyLifeMyShou Hello. Mandelic is not layered. You just apply ... wait 5 minutes (or longer) and then rinse with Cold water. #1. Read your Peel Manual. There is nothing that says to apply this multiple times in a row. This is not a layered peel like Jessners or TCA. You have not followed the directions at all. Mandelic should Not cause frosting. That happens Only when you have used retinoids or strong acids too close to application. All retinoids should be stopped 4-6 days prior. *Then, with your shaving prior to this - that too would make this acid go deeper than intended and possibly cause a blanching of the skin. Your best bet now is to Protect your skin well with a good healing product. SPF 50 and NO sun. Find our online peel manual here: www.platinumskincare.com/peel-directions/ APPLICATION DIRECTIONS Thoroughly cleanse all areas that are to be peeled with a deep cleanser such as: Revitalizing, Anti-Aging or AB. Gently wipe Prep A on all areas to be treated. If you do not have a prep solution, use Alcohol 90%, or pure acetone. Starting with your forehead, apply peel solution in a Horizontal motion until you reach your brow area. Swipe down each temple and between your brows. Continue moving down your face in a Horizontal motion until you cover your jawline. In a Vertical motion, lightly blend the peel onto the neck area so you do not have a line of demarcation. **A stinging/itching/tingling sensation is normal during the peel process. Follow Time Guidelines on pages 8 and 9 to determine peel length for your acid and percentage choice. Apply Neutralizer and/or rinse well for 2-3 minutes with cool water. *Remove all traces of acid from skin. Pat skin dry and follow with a plain moisturizer such as Emu oil or Essentials Healing Blend. Make sure you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 40 if you are going outdoors for a week afterwards.

Hello. With darker skin we need to Pretreat the skin to help prevent PIH. I suggest you start using Fade Bright or Hydroquinone daily on the areas that you are wanting to peel. Do this for 4 weeks. Then I suggest the Jessners peel. Start with 2 layers only! See how your skin reacts to this and then when you move forward NEXT MONTH with your next peel - you can add on 1 more layer. Continue in this manner with the layers you are comfortable with. The skin on the body takes LONGER to flake than on the face. So expect 10 days before anything is actively coming off and a full 30 days to be 100% completed.

Did you apply a LOT of the TCA 25 that you have? One layer? Two layers? Three layers???? You have not given me much information to GO off of. :) If you applied a Lot/Thick/Drippy ... you may have done a deeper peel than you realized and it could come off more quickly. Next time be sure your skin is conditioned properly with a daily acid (Bodywash or Triple Treat 25% body lotion) for 4 weeks. These products help to remove the dead skin and prep the body for a better peel.

@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 14 күн бұрын
1. We aren't peeling the actual Lips. This is for the Upper lip lines, nasal folds ... 2. It isn't a temporary solution. TCA helps to stimulate collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycans in the skin and these can help your skin to look tighter and fuller over time. *Remember that it will take at least 90 days before your treated skin starts to show the positive changes. It is not an "instant" solution in any way. 3. We are not using a 25% TCA. Our Kit has the 20% TCA .. but, you can also just purchase a bottle of 13% and do the entire face instead.

Hello. Frosting is a sign to STOP. So we don't want to use that as a goal in ANY way. You are not stating what % you are applying ... so, understand that you "should" be starting with either the 7 or 13% at 1-2 layers. That is IT. If you are using a higher % .. you are NOT ready for that. :) Please either dilute it or get a lower strength that will not cause the frosting. See how to dilute here: www.platinumskincare.com/how-to-dilute-acid-peels/ And... when using stronger acids on Fitzpatrick 4-6 skin (generally olive or darker) it is very common for that dead skin to darken before flaking off. You might have to use a Milder acid % or a Milder Peel (like Mandelic instead of TCA) if this is a big issue for you. :) Milder acids have little to No visible downtime.

@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 14 күн бұрын
@@user_noway The Face would be done flaking in 10 days. The Body will take 30 days. The skin starts to dry and then flakes/sloughs off over the course of time. Diluting is taking the 20% and adding water to make it a lower percentage. See how here: www.platinumskincare.com/how-to-dilute-acid-peels/ You are stating that you applied TCA 20 to your face and did not get any flaking? That is highly unusual .. as that is a very strong acid. There are directions that need to be followed. You don't state how many layers you applied ... Though I HOPE that it was only 1 ... as this is too strong for you to use on your face. You MUST follow our recommendations. Our 7 or 13% is meant for beginners on the face. TCA is applied in Layers. Please watch this video to learn the process: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peel-application-detailed-faq-aftercare/ and please do Not apply again until you have a thorough understanding of the acid. You also need to Prep your skin prior to a peel being applied. That means for at least 4 weeks being on a regimen consisting of: Acid (cleanser, serum or toner), Antioxidant (C or another), SPF 50 every day and a retinoid like our Fusion A .15 at night. This regimen will start to turn over the skin and will prep it for a nice even peel. See prepping for a peel here: www.platinumskincare.com/preparing-your-skin-for-a-chemical-peel/ **I do not know your skin color/Fitzpatrick type. But 4-6 it is Mandatory to prep with a melanin inhibitor (like our Fade Bright or Hydroquinone) for 4 weeks prior to applying a peel to help avoid/lessen PIH.

@@PlatinumSkinCare Thanks alot. I understood. Maybe TCA peel I bought is not enough strong. I did 2, 3 layers on legs, yes face i did one layer. My skin bearable. So I want for 20%. Thanks alot for your help. I appreciate.
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 13 күн бұрын
@@user_noway No. You should not use 20 on your face. That is too strong. Go down to the 13. Apply it in Layers. You need to work up to 5+ layers. ... Layers ... Not higher %. Each layer helps the acid to progress DEEPER in the skin. Allow this process to happen. If you apply too strong of an acid - you are going to have PIH or other pigmentation issues. Do NOT rush this. Take great precautions.

Hello. Fade Bright is a daily product to help turn down the melanin production in the skin. You want to use this for 4 weeks prior to performing a peel if you are Prone to PIH, have Fitzpatrick 4-6 skin .. or want to help prevent any skin color issues ... it is an excellent choice. If you have run out .. it is time to get some more. When your skin is done flaking, you can begin its usage again. :)

@@fullhundred After a peel we want to use products that calm and heal. Emu oil or Essentials Healing blend are both perfect. You may already have a gentle moisturizer or healing oil on hand that you can use. Just avoid acids and irritants until the skin has completed its turnover. SPF 50 is also mandatory right now.

Hello. I do not know what ingredients or percentages are in the Yellow Peel you are referring to. Do you know? If it contains TCA in a 15% or stronger then you Might be ok moving forward with a TCA 20. BUT . .. if it doesn't even have TCA in it .. then you MUST start with the 13% TCA. Do not think that one acid/peel is equal to another acid/peel. They are all different.

Thank you, Jennifer and Platinum for your excellent tutorials! I’ve been prepping my skin with fade bright for over a week and decided today was the day to use my 13% TCA on my face, neck & chest. I binge watched your videos all morning and had this one going as I did it. I was 100% prepared, thanks to you! I washed, used the peel prep B, then swiped the TCA soaked but squeezed gauze all over. I even swiped over and under my eyes, per your eye tutorial, but using the gauze towards the end when it was much drier. I hit the 5 minute timer and waited, anxiously looking at my skin for frosting, but never saw any. Again, thanks to your videos, I knew this was ok as I’ve been using glycolic and retinoids/Tretinoin for a long time now. There wasn’t any stinging or irritation by the end of the 5 minutes so I applied a second layer, but skipped my eyes this time. After rinsing, I applied the fade bright, a GF, Luminosity, and some other soothing lotions, spf, and I’m done! My skin feels amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing how the next few days go. I love your products, look forward to trying more, and anticipate a successful peel series. 💓

Hello. I suggest either Emu oil or Essentials Healing blend... or if you have another product like Bacitracin or Aquaphor. Protect it for 24-48 hours and then just be careful. No acids or retinoids until that is healed. IF you have a Red mark that lingers after it is healed ... then treat that with 1% hydrocortisone for 1-2 weeks.

Hello ! I just ran across 2 small 5 ml of the 13 percent Tca peel that was gifted to me approximately 4 years ago . I do not see a expiration date on the bottle . Would this still be safe for me to use ???
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 17 күн бұрын
Peel Expiration Dates: The peels are guaranteed to be at their very best: Unopened: Good for 2 years from your purchase date. Opened: Good up to 1 year. Please do not introduce any contaminants into the bottle and store them with the cap on in a cool, dark area like a closet. They will be safe and ready for your next use this way. Does this mean they are "bad" once that date has come to pass? Think of this as a "best used by" date. They will not magically go "bad" once the date has passed, but we cannot guarantee you will get good results either. One of two things could happen: 1. The product can weaken over time. This is the most viable option. 2. The product can get stronger? If too much water has evaporated, there is a possibility that the acid content is stronger than its original formulation. This can happen if a lid was not on properly or it was in a very warm environment. Please discard immediately if this potential may have occurred.

If I want to try tca for the fone lines and combine it with Jessners for my hyperpigmentation should I do tca first and then my Jessner layers? I will only be able to tolerate 1 layer TCA for now.. I can handle 4-5 layers of Jessners. It was also was suggested by PSC to leave it on for 4 hrs. I never did that over the past 2 yrs. Always rinsed it. @@michy2630 hQ is perfect. You will want to do a Standalone TCA 7 or 13 peel first. Then, when you know that your skin tolerates it well .. you can do a layer of Jessners and then a layer of the TCA. Work up as usual ... adding on ONE more layer each month. It doesn't matter which acid you choose ... I usually suggest jessners IF you are working on pigmentation or TCA if aging/scarring/etc... is more important. :) You can also change as you move forward. More of this .. less of this. Since we want jessners to stay ON for 4+ hours you CAN leave both on for that time. ... go to bed ... it is fine. Just rinse everything off in the morning and then apply your treatments and/or healing products and SPF 50.
