Hi I did the 13% and I have done higher TCA peels (frosting does happen). Initially my skin would turn really dark the next day and I would be terrified but it then gets really dry and I look like I am 80 and it does peel. I put vaseline to keep it moist. The only downer is the peeling process cause you look crazy for the first 5 days. But after the whole face peels it is great to have a new fresh skin.

Very true. Those that have ethnic (olive or darker) skin generally have that darkening prior to flaking.

I would suggest doing 2-3 layers and do that 1x per month. .... If you are trying to get a very LIGHT peel... Maybe 1 layer every 2 weeks would be a great option.

Hello. You can certainly wear deodorant. No worries. I use a natural deodorant myself and that is not irritating at all. Very moisturizing actually. I really like Native ... if you are looking. No affiliation. :) I suggest a layer of Fade Bright to clean skin and then your deodorant on a daily basis. A great peel option would be the Mandelic 40 1-2x per month or the Jessners 1x per month. **That melanin inhibitor is mandatory for jessners. I have dark skin tone. I know you're supposed to prep for 2 to 4 weeks for stronger peels like tca and jessner. But is prepping with fade bright necessary if I'm using a mild peel like mandelic 40% for my body? Do I need to prep with mandelic or no?

Probably not - not unless you are really PRONE to PIH? OR if you already have a great deal of hyperpigmentation. If that is the case then FB is your friend and should be part of your daily regimen. FB can help to lessen the pigmentation that you already have. Take PHOTOS!!! This is the easiest way to SEE those changes. 1x each month snap a photo. Then compare as you move forward on your Peel Journey.

Peels are the same. They take 3-5 days to start the flaking. Once that starts, it is another 3-5 days to finish. So the entire process is completed within the 6-10 day mark. **This is for the FACE. Neck and Chest take about a week longer. The body takes 30 days.

You will want to wait to apply any Leave-ON acids until you are done flaking. A wash-off cleanser is ok as long as it does not irritate you.

Hi, I've ordered TCA and Glycolic acid and I am looking forward to do a body peel. Skin thickener Emu oil could be helpful. I would also consider adding a bit of Copper like Super CP Serum into your oil or daily body lotion. Don't do peels TOO often. 1x every 1-2 months should be ok. STOP Triple treat lotion or any retinoids 4-6 days prior.

The only peel that we need to stay on for 4+ hours is Jessners. TCA is rinsed after the last 5 minutes. AHA's (mandelic, glycolic ...) are all timed and rinsed. **FOLLOW the recommendations of the last peel you applied to know when you can do a new one. It is in the Peel Manual.

If you are feeling dry... cracked ... you are ready. Give it time. HYDRATE WELL... and wait a few more days. If you are not someone who has used retinoids and acids in your prep ... your skin will turn over much more slowly. Be sure to get on a good regimen when this is completed! Hi can i layer glycolic 30 with salicylic 30?

While you Can do a Bi-Phasic peel ... which is salicylic first and then rinse and then apply a glycolic ... the %'s are really OFF with this. Salicylic 30 is so so so so much stronger than a glycolic 30. It would be pointless to apply that super mild glycolic on top. Just do the salicylic peel instead. :) The glycolic won't "add" on anything to that. if you wanted to do a bi-phasic it is usually a very LOW % of salicylic that is used as a primer to make the glycolic more effective. Think 3% salicylic and then glycolic.

A dark mark after inflammation is called PIH. Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. You can use Fade Bright on it 1-2x per day and SPF.
