Apologies if asked before. Other than some downthrust. What thrust angle were you regarding usual right hand thrust to have that left hand power circle ? It's great. Lovely stuff

Very cool and very neat to see that Porter fly! I built that same kit but I only built it for display (I work on Pilatus aircraft for a living). I used to build the Guillows kits and try to fly them, but the only one I could ever get to fly even remotely well was the Typhoon. Well done to all of you gentlemen and thank you for sharing this event. Please keep this going.

bought a Guillow's Mustang 51 when I was in my 50's and promised myself that when I retire i would build it. Had to take care of my parents because of their health preventing me from building it. I'm now 72 and I think it's time to build it. Great video. thanks : )

Very nice models and great flights! It is good to see it is actually possible. Whenever I tried to fly in humid conditions the tissue would wrinkle and there was no way of trimming the models. I guess it needs more time and trial. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the kind comment. Yes, it is possible to fly like this. Without the meeting with friends, however, my models would have stayed in the dry room 😁

I know it's an older video, but could I get some information on the PZL P.24 shown in 2.50-3.05 minute? Like what plans, motor, availability, etc? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you. Great models.👍

The model was built and flown by George Kandylakis. It's best to ask him on his channel, he has made several videos of this model. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4SpoZKVjNKfhq8si=nxYcuXJ9SyNEWY3n

I wish people would be more accurate. This is NOT a normal Pipert J-3 Cub; this is a CLIPPED WING J-3, specifically the Reed Conversion once popular as an entry level aerobatic ship. And for those who don't know, what makes it suitable for competition aerobatics is NOT that it can do the maneuvers, it is that you can make a bad.mistake and not DIE, because suitable control stops have been included to keep from damaging control surfaces during accidental tail slides. If you make a scale J-3 out of this kit, the span goes to 15" which.means it is no longer a Peanut. So please- don't be sloppy with what you call it- you might mislead someone into thinking the kit will yield a normal J-3 when in fact it won't.

I'm just finishing constructing my P51 from the Vintage Model Company. Watching him wind up the rubber band I had no idea that is how it is supposed to be done ! Pity he didn't show some of the construction and trimming it up before his first flight. It's amazing how far it can fly just with a rubber band.

They fly incredibly well! Mine were built a bit bigger with slightly better propellers. Flown in the video with a good 600 turns, so only half of what would be possible. My older video of the collection : kzbin.info/www/bejne/onW1Xo16jtiCbKM

What a great video a group of total strangers with a common interest gather together to have a fun day in the sun and make new friends. That’s what it is all about, an activity that brings youngsters of all ages together in an activity every one can afford and enjoy. Best of luck to all pilots as they learn to build, tweak and most of all enjoy the hobby.
