I just made it up (or at least hope I didn’t rip something off), but I definitely was going for the vibe of the Munsters Theme 🤷♂️

Not quite a fair video. Try a silver stripe studio pro vs the old school studio pro. I had the studio pro after the old one you have. It had the same plastic knobs as the old peavey pedals. It had a headphone jack, too, which is rare. I thought it had a very static sound. That little peavey isn't a good one either, plus its running a tiny speaker. Id like to see a red stripe or silver stripe studio against that original. Also, i was told, argued they were wrong only to be proven wrong, the teal strripe is infact a transtube studiopro. It wasn't printed on the amp but was the first in the transtube family.

Is there an annoying popping sound when you pushed the pedal?
@cassandralesh853621 сағат бұрын
i had one, to get a raunchy saturated tone dime the eq and back off what you don't need, hit the front with a cleanish od pedal and use the pre gain to set the amount of bite you want. I got a very glam metal, LA gutter rock sound.

My dad got a Bandit 65 around 1980 or 81 or so. Passed it on to me. A few years ago a buddy sold me this Teal Stripe 112. They are great amps. Also, after watching some of your vids I subbed. Amazing approach to playing and showcasing.

BTW, how is the tuning stability on that oddly beautiful axe? The strings at the headstock look a bit...stressed...
@Chucksguitargeekery2 күн бұрын
It’s surprisingly stable. Of course, I put pencil graphite shavings in the nut slots, that alleviates 90% of tuning issues on most guitars.

Custombuckers are Alnico III magnets, so I don’t think so. I haven’t done a back-to-back comparison, but I think these pickups are closer to 57 classics.

Hello, i am looking for my first electric guitar and dont know if this ep les Paul Classic could be better than a Stratocaster. Overall, cause i like more the les Paul than stratocaster. Hope you can help me. Thanks
@Chucksguitargeekery5 күн бұрын
What kind of music are you looking to play? Who are some of your favorite guitar players?
@IvanBiker5 күн бұрын
@ i like slash for example. But im from México. And there is a band called División Minúscula y the vocalist use a les Paul model. I would like rock, but not too heavy. For example ac/dc. GnR. Deff Lepard. I dont know too much Right now. I just have three months playing acoustic guitar. And having a les Paul makes me feel motivated. And last question, I was thinking about a boss katana mkii 50w and the Epiphone les Paul Classic with the coil split to have more options of sounds in the future. Thanks for answer too quick.

Scorpion, definately! I had sheffields and they all sound worthlessly fuzzy. scorpion has a muddier sound and a true semi-scooped midrange. very important to change the magnets now and then.. i mean every 20 years or so. i would take a wedll functioning scorpion over any vintage 30 or g12 any day of the week.

I know Metal folks go w that buzzy high end for some reason, but I don't like it. Do you think they actually like the sound ? Or is it that they want that much distortion and put up w it. I love distortion, even extreme distortion, but that fitzy high end sucks.

“Metal” pedals really aren’t my go-to lol. I’d rather stack an OD pedal into a “classic” sounding distortion if I need a higher gain

Love this. Higher output pups make the ds1 get splatty and farty. Really low output humbuckers with the gain below 12, tone below 12 can work. P90s are great.

Do you experience any volume drop with the Blue Box? If so, how do get around it?
@Chucksguitargeekery10 күн бұрын
I don’t know if it’s a volume drop so much as it’s a shift in the EQ. It is a sound that can be hard to cut through a dense mix.

YEP, nice amp BUT the gain goes form 0-60 in literally a ‘tap’ on the gain knob… 2 trick pony imo, super sterile cleans and high compressed gain. Not much in between if you ask me… bummer.

You might want to look into the Joyo Bantamp series of lunchbox amps, particularly the JaCkMan model. Fraction of the price and sounds very good.

Yes, I had the Vox version a long time ago. It was good, but I wound up getting the Orange terror stamp and that replaced the bantamp. Lots of amps comes and go around here lol.
