I wonder good this sounds with solid state amp you have like the peaveys and valvestate? Get a redstripe peavey sometime to demo and compare to your others!

I’m always keeping an eye on marketplace for a redstripe, but none ever come up for sale near me. Either they’re that good that people don’t want to sell them, or they just didn’t sell that many 🤷‍♂️ Either way, I can’t justify paying the shipping to buy one online lol.

I see one in Falls Church right now, but that’s about 1.5 hours with traffic from me. The joy of being in a rural area lol. I’ve lucked out with getting all the other ones cheap locally, I’m just playing the waiting game at this point.

I have a silver stripe Peavey express 112. It sounds killer. The red stripes are badass but the silver stripes kick ass too. Most Peavey amps are amazing.

I could see this stacking well with a blues driver, stacking overdrives is a lot of fun and you can get some unique tones.

There are germanium transistors are no more expensive than Silicon ones, but they’re problematic as hell. It’s more likely it’s a germanium diode, and they’re just promoting it with Jimi nostalgia. The tones aren’t very Fuzz Face like, but there are Muff circuits that cleanup pretty well. They use diodes, not transistors, but this seems more like a COB or a cheap Superfuzz circuit, so Who Knows? I don’t Know…
