Thank you for the series. It’s a great end to end real world reporting… no $5000 shop… no super special tools…. Great for refresher on just basic things .

EXCELLENT video. #515 subscriber!! I have the 1968 version of this tractor, no ROPS but appears to be very similar in all other aspects. Best method of getting the hose off for the swing cylinders? I am going to get all the hoses replaced, but need to replace this one right away. Thanks.

This video reminds me of my kindergarten class all sitting in a semicircle around the teacher while she read us a story right before nap time.

I am jealous, but happy for you. I just bought a case 530. I'm not sure if ck or what. It is supposed to have a blown engine. I have only seen pictures of it. On my way Monday to pick it up, in Redmond Oregon. I am looking for a video on what to expect in changing the engine. Nice videos

Is it just me or is one voice on a scrambler box to disguise the original voice. Sure sounds like it. Interesting video, thanks.

Nice job. I might have bought a multi pitch thread file to get rid of the bugged threads first and might have gotten away with buying a specific tap. Thanks.

Some kind of fall arrest harness would be a good idea. Don't know how much maintenance can be done way up there. Those towers are the best way for this purpose instead of just a pole.

Awesome video! I know you don't go on public roads but BE CAREFUL ON TURNS! I don't know how deep those tanks are but you may have made the truck top heavy, which would make it easier to roll over! Just a thought! Great job and be safe!

Also be careful with partially filled tanks. I am assuming no baffles in those new ones. Partially filled unbaffled tanks allow the water to "slosh" during turns and braking!

you never really talked about the main pump on this truck the pump roll pump is a smaller pump in the main pump on the truck I know the structure fire pump but you should have mentioned that too it looks like it's probably about 500 gallon per minute could be more but that's what I noticed.. I know some years after you had posted for sure originally but you know video store so if I can comment whatever 20 years of years for fire service for the next firefighter I've been around the parking for all my life.. thought I'd give you information

Really good thinking. I'm trying to think of why that one rod end was so different and longer. At first I was thinking that it was stretched and the threads rolled over and expanded the end so the previous mechanic ground a bevel so he could take it apart and rethreaded it. I don't think so though. I don't see any way a force like that could be generated there that would cause that. Maybe just found another that was really close to replace the original. Who knows?

Thanks for your hard work. I want to modify my 3600 cfm house cooler to run on solar panels, charge controller and lithium batteries. Everything I have is 12 volt DC oriented but maybe I can go to 24 volt. I would also like to run my original squirrel cage blower. As it is with, 2 speed 1/2 hp 120 vac motor, on low speed I am measuring 425 watts. That serves my purpose well and I rarely run the high speed at 760 watts. The pump is the standard ac energy inefficient unit. I already have a few DC pumps to try. I want free cooling this Summer when the sun is out. Last Summer I ran it on my home built ''solar generator'' with 7200 watt hour capacity. That unit is for backing up the fridge and a chest freezer during power outages. I prefer to build a dedicated solar charge battery pack dedicated to run the cooler alone. Have you run into any efficient 1800 rpm DC motors in your travels? Thanks much...you do nice work.

Ok I was wondering why that seal looked so much like a pto seal and I used a socket to get them out a large socket but big enough that will only touch the seal put on a vice and it will pop right out and you can use the socket to put it back in as well

What’s your calling a “y” or “t” or “branch” is officially called a Gated Y because it has shutoff valves. With out the shut offs it’s a “Y”

A good set of Harrington 3 ton ratchets and a S-1 chain would raise that tower lol but winches work great too, but if you used that chain ratchet and a set of rope dogs it'd be safer for you, I've pulled 2,000 of 6ft wide 5ply conveyor belt around twists and turns underground no prob I'd say without a doubt they'd help you raise your tower safely, great deal on it btw!!! 😁😁😁💯💯 Stay blessed brother 💯💯💯

When rolling up the hose you need to keep the "male" coupling in the middle so the threads don't get damaged. Awesome setup!

I found a 45 foot tower on my local Facebook marketplace for $100, and have the same idea to use it for my wind generator. I am buying 40 acres in the SE of Colorado, up on a mesa that I plan to keep off grid, and just make my own power.
